This Photo - 49 and Market

Hello friends!

Oh my! Another gorgeous new collection to admire - ARToptions Spice. The colours are just beautiful. Here is a layout I created using this gorgeous new collection.

Aren't these colours just fabulous? I used papers from the ARToptions Spice 12 x 12 Collection pack. The base paper is the reverse side of the "Ginger Kiss" paper, leaving on the strip at the bottom because I loved the stamps across the strip - I cut that equivalent piece off the top of the paper to keep it at 12 x 12. I tore a piece on top left corner and added a piece of the "Fuchsia Grove" paper, tucking in two tickets from the Spice Ephemera pack.
The photo is tucked into an envelope - the envelope is from the Spice Cluster kit. I sanded the edges of the envelope first. From here I then added layers of matting to my photo - these matts are pieces from the Spice Ephemera Pack - the edges were distressed first, before I layered them behind the photo. This was then adhered to the page with foam tape down the centre. I then added a stem of the Plum Wildflowers down the left side of the photo, before I began layering the laser cut pumpkins, the wagon wheel and stamp, with other Plum Wildflowers. All these are were layered with foam tape to create dimension.
From here I also created a flower and pumpkin cluster on the right of the photo. I have added some laser cut flowers and the road signs to the cluster too.
I then created a small cluster feature in the top right corner of the layout, using a "slide" paper from the Ephemera pack. I added this with foam tape, added the hinges from the Cluster Kit chipboard set, and added the title "This photo" with foam tape and embellished it with flowers and laser cuts.
I then finished off by adding buttons and orange dots to the layout placed randomly in the flowers and pumpkin clusters and the page. These come from the Spice Cluster kit too.

Thank you for visiting the blog today.

Hugs,
Michelle

Treasure the little moments - Dusty Attic

Hello Dusty FANattics

It's hard to believe we just under two months to the end of 2023! Here is my project for November:

The layout is made with Scrapboys papers and 49 and Market flowers. I tore the one paper and adhered it to the base paper. The photos were then matted with distressed papers, and adhered to the page with foam tape. I then used some letters from DA2390 (Jumbled Letters) - painted with white acrylic paint (dabbed on with a sponge), and tucked these under the photo matt as a feature.
The rest of the chipboard was also painted with white acrylic paint and when this was dry, lightly sponged over with a chalk brown paint. Once this was dry, I lightly brushed over the pieces with stickles.
I began first with my flower clusters - and added mini foliage (DA2786) among the layers of flowers. I add the shutters (DA2199) apart and lifted them.
I have also added botanical buttons (DA3316) and added the title Treasure the little moments (DA1606). I finished off adding some white splatters.

Little Naturalist - 49 and Market

Hello lovelies!

I am back on the blog today mixing up some of the ranges with some old and some new. That is just how amazing these collections are - they can be mixed and matched quite easily. I have used a mixture of Vintage Artistry Nature's Study and Curators Botanical/Naturalist ranges here.

The base papers are the ledger papers Vintage Artistry Nature's Study Ledger Collection paper, which has been torn and adhered to the Vintage Artistry Nature's Study Tattered Writings paper. I then used bookplates - Curators Essentials Bookplates, and created a book like feature using the different pieces. These were bent slightly, glued down the centre and added foam tape between the pieces to give it a book like appearance.
Here is the other side - I cut down some of the smaller bookplates and used these as "bookmarks"
I have then used wording as tabs from the Vintage Artistry General Laser Cut Elements. From here I added mushrooms from the Laser Cut Mushrooms and Foliage set and the trees from the General set and created layers of mushrooms on either side of the book using foam tape.
I created a flower cluster using Rustic Bouquet Marigold flowers and then adding laser cuts through this.
I have also used wording from the Chipboard Word Set and added these to the layout - I have also used the little "screw" tops from the Cluster kit. There are rubons around the photo feature too (6x8 mushroom rubon set)

Thanks for visiting the blog today!

Hugs,
Michelle

Life is a daring adventure - Dusty Attic

 Hello lovelies

Today I am on the blog with a layout created using the October moodboard.

I have used papers from 13 Arts and Ciao Bella and done a bit of fussy cutting from the 13 Arts paper to create my layout.
For this layout I have used two sets of chipboard - Industrial Jumbo Gears (DA2860) and Foliage #4 (DA1294). I dabbed metallique brown paint on all the pieces first using a sponge and waited for this to dry. Once this was dry I added a dark teal metallique paint to the chipboard pieces, also dabbing this on with a sponge
I first added matting layers behind the photo before adhering this to the page with foam tape down the centre of the matted photo. I did this so that I could add my fussy cut pieces and gears under the photo as I did my layering.
I started first with fussy cut pieces than added the gears - some pieces were added with foam tape so I could create my different layers.
Once these were all layered I then added some of the foliage.

You can take part in the monthly moodboard challenge by using the moodboard to create a project (anything, as long as you use Dusty Attic Chippy) and add your project the Dusty FANattics facebook page. 2 random winners are selected and will win one of two AUD50 worth of gorgeous Dusty Attic chipboard.

Beach Day - 49 and Market

Hello lovely 49 and Market Fans

I have a layout created for the blog today using the gorgeous, bright and happy Vintage Artistry Sunburst collection.

I use a lot of photos off Pinterest for my layouts, and when I saw this photo I thought it was perfect for the theme of this Sunburst Collection, and the of course the colours were just spot on!
I have used the reverse side of the Sunburst - Lost Island paper from the Sunburst 12x12 Collection pack for the base of my layout. I used two photos, sanded the edges and fanned these out and added the white wooden frames from the sunburst Ephemera behind the photos and added thi layered photo mat the page with foam tape in the centre only - allowing the space under the photo edges to add my layers of lasercuts flowers and leaves.
I used flowers and foliage off both sets of Sunburst Laser Cuts packs - the General Pack and the Foliage laser cuts. I have curled some of the petals of my frangipanis before adding these and the other flowers in layers with foam tape around the edge of the photo, as well as the foliage. The netting has been taken from the Sunburst Ultimate Page Kit - I have used the reverse side of this so I could use the blue side instead of the black. I have also cut this into pieces so that I could use it in different places on my layout. I just love the sign post out of the General Laserpack and I just had to use it! All the little bows are from the General pack, and I just love the banner title (also a laser cut) "Beach Day"
And how cute are the little cross stitches? These are from the General Laser Cut pack. I have added foam tape under the foliage to create dimension.
I have finished off the page adding a seahorse feature to the top of the right of the page.
This a mix of Laser Cuts and Ephemera. I have added the paper Laser Cut Sequins to the page - with Glossy Accents to give it a "watery" effect (although not very visible in the photos).

Thanks for visiting the blog today.

Happy crafting!

Hugs,
Michelle

Happy Memories - Dusty Attic

Hello!

And welcome to October - can you believe, it's October?! I have a layout created for the blog today.

I have used some of the older pieces of chipboard - just shows how amazing this chipboard is, it was amazing then and is still amazing now! I have created this layout using paper from the Scrapboys.
All the chipboard was painted with green acrylic paint.
I added the framed photo to the page with foam tape in the centre, so I was able to tuck the chicken mesh (D0177) under - I cut this into a bigger piece and a smaller piece - the bigger piece used under the paper and photo and the smaller piece under the small cluster on the left.
I the added fussy cut flowers and paper flowers to create clusters and added the leaves (DA0508) in the clusters.
I then added the title "happy Memories" (DA0732) - and added glossy accents to the title.

These are the products that I have used:

Christmas Wishes - 49 and Market

Hello!

Spectacular is definitely the right word to use for the new Christmas range - called just that "Christmas Spectacular" - I had such fun putting this layout together.

It was a lot of work and took me a really long time to finish - but I was so pleased with the result. When I received the products for the Christmas Spectacular range, my eye caught all the tickets numbered December 1 through to December 31 in the Christmas Spectacular Ticketed Ephemera pack - and this made me think of the advent calendar and this is how the idea of this layout came about. The base of the paper is the paper called "The Spirit". I then cut the paper called "Welcome" from the same pack down into a frame to create the blocks. This was adhered to the "The Spirit" paper with foam tape.
Once this was adhered, I then cut up green matts for all my photos using the "Spruce" paper from the same Collection pack. I sanded down the edges of the green and the photos, also adhering these with foam tape. I have used a number of Laser Cut Elements from both the General and the Greenery packs to decorate each block.
I have added layers of holly leaves - and have curled these, and added foam tape to create dimension. I have also added red beads with Stickles for the berries. Even the little bells have been added with foam tape. The bigger bells are also from the laser cut pack and then I cut up a piece from the Ephemera bits pack and layered these on top of the laser cut pack to create a 3D effect (not quite visible in the photo though).
The laser cut baubles have glossy accents on them too. Again lots of layers of holly added with foam tape and curled. In the blocks that I have used pine cones - these pine cones have also been curled with foam tape in the centre and then the edge glued to the paper to maintain the shape - the bows are from the Laser Cut Elements General pack.
I have also used the poinsettias from the Greenery Laser cut pack. The petals in some have been curled and there is also foam tape under these for dimension.
The candy cane is from the General Laser cut pack, I then added the extra yellow bow (I cut the long end down), cut out the middle of one of the poinsettias and added that with foam tape on top of the bow - so it has a really great dimension.

I hope you have enjoyed this layout - as much as I had putting this together.

Thanks for visiting the blog.

Hugs,
Michelle
