100% Natural - 49 & Market

Hello 49 and Market fans

Oh my gosh I am loving this Vintage Artistry Everyday Collection - and I have used this collection to create my layout for today.

The base page is the reverse side of the Lucent Ladies paper, and I cut down the bonus paper that is on the reverse side of the cover to the collection to 11" x 11", distressed the edges and added this to the Lucent Ladies paper. I have then used some of the laser cuts from the paper collection and some of the Ephemera to layer the photo - the frame is from the laser cut sheet. These were layered with foam tape before adhering to the page. I have only adhered this to the centre of the photo layers so I was able to rub on the Vintage Artistry Everyday Rub-ons around the layers of laser cuts and Ephemera. These rub-ons are really great layered - in the photo below I have rubbed on some of the wording and then rubbed on the leaf on top of this - very effective. And how gorgeous are these butterfly rub-ons? There are gorgeous little words in the rub-ons pack - and I used each one of these on the laser cut tabs under the photo as shown here:
From here I first adhered the leaves from the laser cut sheet before layering laser cut flowers and Ginger Mini series flowers and the Chardonnay Maura's Vineyard flowers. I have layered the laser cut pieces and the flowers between each other to build up the cluster.
I have added some of the black Roughly Sewn stitching to two of the corners to finish off.

Thank you for visiting the blog today, and wishing you all the very best for 2021.

Thanks,
Michelle

Happy - Dusty Attic

 Hello Dusty Attic fans

Well that is almost 2020 in a wrap - and this is my last post for 2020. My project for today is based on the gorgeous December moodboard:

Isn't this moodboard just beautiful? Here is my take on it:

I have used some of the new releases on my layout - the distressed frames and the foliage. The frames were first painted before adding these to the page - and were added on foam tape in layers.
From there, the flowers were added and layered before adding the foliage under the flowers. One of the foliage pieces was cut - part added to the main flower cluster and the other bits used in the smaller flower cluster at the top right corner, and adding the word from "beautiful" from the wordplay chipboard.
Once the flowers were added, I then added the "happy" title

Here are some more close ups:

I will be back in January - have a great festive season!

Merry Christmas - 49 & Market

 Seasons greetings,

What better way to get into the festivities of Christmas than using Vintage Artistry Noel collection.

I love this Christmas collection - the 12 x 12 paper pack has 5 papers and 2 sheets of beautiful Christmas laser cut shapes to make really great Christmas layouts - all in the traditional Christmas colours.
The base of the page in red is the paper called Painted Season. The paper Aquifolium has been trimmed down to 11"x11" and distressed before adding to the Painted Season paper. I have then cut two matting pieces from cover of the collection (which is the gold/ochre colour) and a piece from the Tradition paper. From there I have layered pieces from the Vintage Artistry Shore Ephemera pack. The frames for the photos are from the laser cut sheets.
I have used a mixture of flowers - Botanical Potpourri Bottle Green and Red flowers, and some from Blossoms Blends in red. This has then been layered together with the poinsettias, leaves and pine cones from the laser cut sheets. The pine cones have been rounded before adhering to the page.

The Santa feature in the top right corner, is made using the Santa laser die from the laser sheet, with laser cut poinsettias and leaves, and some flowers.
Vintage Artistry rub-ons (which I love!) have added around the page to finish it off.

Wishing you and your family a joyous and festive Season.

Michelle

Favourite Moments - Dusty Attic

Hello Dusty Attic fans

Wow this is the last month of this year - and what a year it has been, hasn't it?! Today I would like to share  with you my layout created for Dusty Attic for December.

I love this photo of my daughter. She is a make-up Artist, and does these photos to promote her business via Instagram and Facebook - so of course I like to scrap these photos.

I have first started by cutting different size pieces of paper to mat my photo. Using one of the Get Framed - Circles as the frame, have painted this with Prima Alchemy metallique paint and layered this with my photo before adhering to the matted papers. This is then adhered to the page with foam tape, so that I was able to tuck in the film strip and the medallions, painted with the same paints.

One of my favourite pieces is the Wattle Blossom, and I have used it again on this page, cutting it into smaller pieces to add among the flower cluster.
I have added Crystal Stickles to the Wattle Blossoms.
The title was also first painted in Prima Alchemy paint, and then I added Pink Stickles on it.

Beauty - 49 and Market

Hello there,

I have created a layout using the Vintage Artistry in Colour Sage Collection with some roughly sewn rub-ons.

I have used the bonus page that is on the inside of the cover of the collection and the paper called Perennial. Inside cover page is the base and the reverse side of Perennial is cut down to 11" x 11" and the edges distressed. I love the Vintage Artistry Washi tape - and have used some of the Sage ones on this layout too. I have then used laser cuts from the Collection and some Vintage Artistry Sage ephemera layered behind the photo.  Roughly sewn rub-ons have been added. I created "paper tears" on the page and using the rub-ons looked like the tears were stitched.
Starting with the Garden Petals in Mint, I have used the bigger flowers and cut these in half tucked under the photo mat. I also cut up the laser cut leaves so these can be spread between the flower clusters. By cutting these, it adds extra to your pages. Then added some mint pixie petal flowers and fluff sugar posies to make up the rest of the clusters.

I have finished off adding a double bow in each cluster using the single ply jute.

Thanks for visiting the blog. Till next time,
Michelle

Adore - Dusty Attic

 Hello Dusty Attic fans

Today I am up on the blog with a layout created with this month's moodboard. And what a beautiful moodboard it is!

Here is my take on the moodboard
I so loved working with these colours. First I started by matting my photo, then painted the Skeleton Clock (DA1689) with Dusty in Colour paint - Dusty Pink. The clock was then cut into 2/3 for the top of the photo and 1/3 for under the photo. From here I layered a number of flowers, including Dusty Attic Frangipanis (DA2534)
The Wattle Blossoms were cut apart and inserted among the flowers.
I love the mini titles pack (DA2575) - love how these have been cut with their curly ends - and have a few titles to choose from.
And then there are these adorable Heart Strings (DA2710) - which I have been dying to use - thought they were perfect for this layout. I have also cut the hearts off some of these  - so they could be used individually.

You can enter this months challenge using the moodboard, and post your entry to the Dusty Fanattics FB page https://www.facebook.com/groups/1949690068580466  - we would love to see your entry, and you get a chance to win $50 worth of gorgeous Dusty Attic chipboard.

Treasure the moments that capture our heart - 49 and Market

Hello 49 and Market Fans

Thanks for popping over to the blog, and here I would like to show you a layout I have created using Vintage Artistry Collection, combined with a variety of flowers and Vintage Artistry Shore rub-ons.

The base page is the reverse side of Garden Notes. From there the photos were adhered to the frames off the laser cut sheet in the Vintage Artistry Butter collection. These frames were adhered to the page using some of the pieces from the Vintage Artistry Butter ephemera stack.

Once these have been adhered, I have began to arrange the flower cluster using Maura's Vineyard Chardonnay stems, the lighter flowers from the Butterscotch Sugar petals , Cream Country Blooms and Lemon Drop Stargazers. These also included flowers, the clock and the butterflies from the laser cut sheet.

In the pack of Vintage Artistry Shore rub-ons there is a page that has a page with seaweed - but I wanted to show you how versatile these are and that by using them as foliage - and I thought these were quite effective. To finish off I have added some Fizz Wishing Bubbles

Take care,
Michelle

Cheeky, Mischief - Dusty Attic

 Hello Dusty Attic fans

Welcome to a new month - cannot believe it is November already! For my November project today, I decided to do something a little different than I usually do and also to do a masculine layout. I have used some of the older Dusty Attic chipboard.

I loved the colours of this Coco Vanilla "Boys Rule" paper and so decided that I would paint my chipboard to match. I started with adding some stencilling to the background using the Distressed Grid Stencil, and then randomly stamped over the stencilling with a script stamp.
Using one of the cog frames from the Cog Frame set, I cut the top part of it off, and added the smaller bit to the right and the bigger piece to left.

Chicken wire was added and the matted photo then added. I have then painted the cogs in a mix of blues and greens.

Cogs were also added to the small side feature
The titles were then added once the cogs had been added
