Best Ever - 49 and Market

Hello 49 & Market friends,

I would like to share with you my new layout, created for the blog today
The background page is the Vintage Remnants page #7. I have used a paper from the Vintage Artistry in Colour Sky Collection - the paper is the reverse side of the cover from this collection, cut down to 11" x 11", distressed and added to the Vintage Remnants paper. I have cut a V in this paper in the bottom right corner to reveal the blue pattern of the Vintage Remnants paper. The photo has been layered with Vintage Artistry Sky stitched frames, and mounted to the paper with foam tape. I then stamped randomly around under the frame using one of the ticket stamps from the Snapshots of Yesterday stamp collection. I have then layered around the photo with the Stargazers Sky Blue flowers. The laser cut leaves and flowers are from the Tattered Garden laser cut sheet. The chipboard gates are Dusty Attic.
The flowers and leaves have been added with foam tape, and layered between the Stargazer flowers to add dimension.
"The Best Ever" title is the bar code from the Admit One paper of the Vintage Artistry Sky paper collection. To finish off I have added some Whispering Bubbles Minty Breeze.

Thanks for visiting the blog today,
Michelle

May Moodboard - Dusty Attic

Hello Dusty Attic fans

How gorgeous is this moodboard for this month? I just love the softness and the prettiness of the colours
This is so gorgeous! Inspired by the flowers, I created a layout using flowers and leaves.
I have used a mixture of Studio 73 and Mintay papers to create my layout.  I first started with one of the larger circles from the Get Framed - Circle chipboard, which I painted with acrylic paints in tones of spearmint green and mauve. This was attached to the photo, sliding the photo through the top so that the bottom of the circle is behind the photo. This was adhered to the page with foam tape. I then painted the foliage #23 chipboard in a dark green. When the leaves were dry, I brushed gently over this with a sanding block to reveal some of the chipboard. I then started layering up the fussy cut flowers, leaves with the foliage chipboard. There are three pieces of foliage, of which one of them I cut up to add smaller bits around my fussy cutting.
The small "ocean wave" chipboard was painted with a mixture of mauve and lilac and adhered between the flowers and the leaves. The title was painted with a spearmint green paint and a bit of lilac paint - this was done dabbing lightly with a sponge so as not to fill the letters with paint.
There is also a small chipboard bird cage added to the layout
Come and play along and create a layout using the moodboard as inspiration - and you could win a voucher from Dusty Attic worth $50 of gorgeous Dusty Attic chippiness :)

You make my heart sing - 49 & Market

Hello everyone,

We are moving into winter here in NZ, and I can certainly feel the cold creeping in. Perfect time to be in doors and get some scrapbooking done. Today I am have created a layout combining Irrevocable Beauty elements and Serendipitous papers.
Cut the Serendipitous Hazy Morning  paper down to 11 x 11, distress the edges and adhere this to the Serendipitous Rain Storm paper. The photo has been matted onto Vintage Artistry in Colour Sage Stitched frames, the frame cut from the inside cover page of the Sage Collection pack, and the green lace edge is from the laser cut sheet included in the paper pack. This is then added to the page with foam tape.
Layer flowers from the Irrevocable Beauty laser cut sheet, as well as fussy cut flowers from the Irrevocable Beauty Timekeeper paper. The wooden heart is also cut from this same paper. The title "You make my heart sing is cut from the sheet in he collection pack fussy cut images.
There are flowers and leaves added from the Eucalyptus layered embellishments. Plus I have added some of the new flowers just released - Sugar Petals Huckleberry - they are gorgeous!
I have finished off adding stitched stamping around the edge and wishing bubbles from the Eucalyptus layered embellishments

Take care and stay safe,
Michelle

Cherish - Dusty Attic

Hello Dusty Attic fans

Hope you are keeping well and safe in these unprecedented times. We are heading into winter here in New Zealand - can certainly feel the cold creeping in now.  I received some happy mail from Dusty Attic this week, and couldn't wait to create a project with my new chipboard.

I have used papers from the Stamperia Love Land collection - I love these blue tones and and thought the Bluebells chipboard was perfect for this paper range. I have used both sets of the bluebell chipboard (DA 2572 & DA2573) .I have also cut the no 1 bluebells (DA2572) chipboard to fit.
All my chipboard has been painted with white acrylic paint.
I am loving these new fancy trims (and there are heaps of different ones to choose from on the Dusty Attic website). I have added some Dusty Attic pearls to the chipboard. These new mini titles (DA2575) are gorgeous with their curled finishes. I have used the word cherish, but there are other lovely words such as perfect, adore, smile, happy and blessed and they all have the same curly ends.
I have also added a Juliette window frame chippy to my layout, and then finished off adding a pendant chipboard at the top left corner of the page.

Thank you for visiting.
Stay safe and keep well,
