Love you to the moon and back - Dusty Attic

 Hi there,

As we head towards the end of April, you still have chance to enter the monthly moodboard challenge for your chance to win one of two $50 Dusty Attic vouchers with this month's moodboard:

Here is my layout created using the moodboard colours:

When I saw this paper I thought this was perfect with the moodboard and the layers of colours. I started with first painting the big moon DA2731 and one of the moons off DA2740 in an orangey shade of paint and adding this to the page. Then added the photo using foam tape.

I then painted the foliage DA1294 with a iron coloured paint and then brushed over these pieces with a dark purple paint, layering the flowers and adding these foliage pieces between the flowers and around the flowers.

The title Love you to the moon and back also includes chipboard hearts which I have painted in orangey tones and added among the flowers. I have painted the title and added these on top of the flowers.

You still have some time to add your take on the moodboard to the Dusty Attic FANattics facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/1949690068580466.

These are the Dusty Attic products I have used:

Your Story - 49 and Market

Hello 49 and Market Fans

The new products being released this year are nothing short of A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Have you seen the new Albums? These are fantastic, and come in a range of colours and matching 8"x6" papers. Today I have the privilege of working with the Essential Binder Vintage Sage album. These albums are amazing, and come complete with pages and plastic refills - all you need to do is add your papers and photos and embellishments - I loved putting my album together.

I have done my front cover using laser cuts from the Vintage in Artistry Collection volume 1 and the Vintage Artistry Sage Collection, the newly released flowers - Royal Spray Olive Paper flowers and some of the Sage Ephemera, and single ply jute.

These ring-binder albums are great with refills, matching coloured pages and pages to cover included.
I have had such fun putting this album together using all sorts of 49 and Market products - I have mixed up the pages and refills. I am going to show some of my pages here and the products used:

Here I have used Vintage Artistry Blush Sage rub-ons,  4x6 frame pieces, as well as laser cut pieces from the Vintage Artistry Sage collection. The page on the top row, is a backing from the 4x6 frame set, and a frame from the laser cut sheet added to the page with foam tape. I have rubbed on leaf transfers behind this frame set. The bottom row is a refill page to add photos and paper pieces, which I have used lasercut pieces and rub-on transfers. On the photo is phrase on best friends - which I have rubbed on off the the Vintage Artistry Sage Blush rub-on sheet, then I cut the photo before inserting this into the refill sheet.
In these pages I have cut up papers to fit the plastic refills, decorated with rub-ons and Ephemera. I have used the rub-ons again as I did the photos on the previous page, adding these to the paper and the cutting the paper to fit in the refill sheet. On the second page, I have covered the kraft coloured pages with sage papers, and attached the photo to a stitched frame as a tag to add in the fold. The fold is decorated with lasercut pieces, white sugar posies and rub-ons.
Another page using the plastic refills, and showing the photos with rub-ons, Vintage Artistry acetate foliage and lasercuts.
The pages are set up in the album with the folds - here I show how I have covered the kraft paper with papers and closed the page with a binder clip. And the flap opens up to reveal another photo.
Further pages, decorated with papers, laser cut sheets, 4x4 frames. Rub-ons and Sage Ephemera
I have added a large photo with a Ephemera frame on foam tape, and decorated with flowers, laser cuts and jute.
The photos are just some ideas of what can be created in the album. There is so much one can do and the refills can extra add ons can be purchased and added.

Hope you have as much fun as I had putting this album together.

Thanks for visiting,
Michelle

Adventure - 49 & Market

Hello friends,

I so love the new Vintage Artistry Anywhere Collection, that I have created another new layout with it. Here is a layout with my daughter who visited Queenstown here in the South Island of New Zealand. She is down at the Waterfront on the edge of Lake Wakatipu.

I have used the Vintage Artistry Anywhere At the Core paper, and layered up with frames and laser cut pieces from the laser cut sheet in the paper collection. This includes the laser cut twine pieces across the bottom of my photo - they are just gorgeous and they look so real  - one wouldn't think they were paper laser cuts!

Aren't they just fabulous? They come in different colours and sizes - so ideal! I have also added Vintage Artistry Anywhere Ephemera between my flower layers and frames. The flowers used are the Fluff Sugar Posies, and the Blush and Cobalt Mini Series flowers.
Added to this is also the Vintage Artistry Anywhere Wishing Bubbles and Trinkets.
And the rub-ons are just as gorgeous - with so many beautiful pieces to choose from. These can be cut up and arranged as needed. Here in the first photo are the seagulls, and lovely coloured stripes, and in the second photo the aeroplane and clouds, and the rub-on ticket.

Thanks for visiting the blog today.

Till next time,
Michelle

Remember - Dusty Attic

 Hello Dusty Attic fans

Gosh its April already, feels like time is just flying past! I have created a layout with a photo of my son for a change - I don't have many as he is not a fan of the camera. This photo was taken probably a good 15 or 16 years ago. He and our daughter would often go over to the next door neighbours, and swim in their pool and have play dates with their little girl - so here is my son carrying their daughter - such an adorable photo

I have used two sets of gears on my layout - Scaled Industrial Gears DA2859 and Gears 2 by Nuneka DA2744. I love these sets of gears - the DA2859 have gorgeous lacey look and the DA2744 set with words engraved.
I have then used the Tall and Lean ABC Set DA2697 to title my page
I have painted gears in two shades of Prima Alchemy Acrylic Metallique paint - and when dry then added stickles to create a shimmer.
