Be Wild & Free

Hi 49 and Market fans,

We are fast approaching winter ... perfect opportunity to stay indoors with warm soup and scrap! Which is what I was doing when I created my layout and I was with a group of lovely friends too. Here is my layout:

The layout features a photo of my daughter - I just love this photo.
The paper used for my layout is from the Vintage Artistry Everyday collection and I have used the reverse side of the paper called Zealous.
The frame, and leaves are all from the laser cut sheet that is found in the Vintage Artistry Everyday 12x12 Collection pack.
I have also used Vintage Artistry Butter and Lilac rub-on transfers - at the top of the page "scatter kindness" is from the sheet as well as the "Be Wild and Free" rubbed on to the tag.
I have also used some rub-on splatters from the same pack, as shown in the photo below next to the butterfly tag.
The new flowers are just fabulous and I love this new Sunshine flowers - I have used the entire pack of Royal Spray and added some flowers from the Royal Posies pack, layering these with the leaves and flowers from the laser cut sheet. I have also cut up the leaves that are included in the Royal Spray pack and added these among the flower arrangements.

I have also added an acetate butterfly among the flowers from the Vintage Artistry Essentials acetate foliage pack.

I have finished off my layout with a flower feature at the bottom of the page. Here there are flowers, rub-ons, and lasercut pieces.

Thanks for visiting today.

Till next time,
Michelle

A captured moment - Dusty Attic

 Hello Dusty Attic fans

I am back with a layout using the May moodboard as inspiration.

I drew inspiration from the photo to create my layout

I have used two Queen Vintage Frames by Nuneka (DA2742) to frame my photos. I first painted these frames with Prima Alchemy paint, before adding the photos. These were then added to the paper on foam tape, before adhering my fussy cut leaves and ivy vines DA2601

The ivy leaves have also been painted with Prima Alchemy paint and then rubbed with wax.

I then added the flowers
I have then added the title from the mini captions DA1834

Thanks for visiting the blog - and you can enter the Dusty Attic monthly challenge by using the May Moodboard as inspiration and enter on the Dusty Fanattics page on Facebook. You could win of two $50 Dusty Attic vouchers!

Thanks for popping by!

Till next time,
Michelle

Memories - 49 and Market

Hello Scrappy friends

Hope you are all keeping well. I am back on the blog today, and have created a layout using some of the recently released flowers. They are absolutely super cool, and the colours are amazing.

The is Vintage Artistry Anywhere collection is one of my favourites, and today I want to show you that the collection does not have to be used just for travel, and can be adapted to suit any layout you create. This is a layout featuring my daughter and I. We did a photoshoot with Kate Christie about 6 years ago for her to make a Mother and Daughter photo collection book, with proceeds going to the Breast Cancer Foundation.
I have used the Vintage Artistry Anywhere Edges paper from the 12 x 12 pack as my base page. I have also used a number of pieces from the lasercut sheet in the 12 x 12 pack, as well as Vintage Artistry Wedgewood Ephemera. The filmstrip and Ephemera are used behind the photo. For my photo, I added one 6 x 4 die cut frame, adding the paper "elastic band" from the lasercut sheet and then added several layers of frames behind this at angles. The edges have all been distressed. I then cut one of the smaller elastic bands and added these around the edge of one of the frames and the Ephemera. I slipped a metal clip "Memories" over the frame tag.
I then added layers of flowers - I used the entire packet of Ocean Jade Royal Posies (so hard not to ;) - these are just gorgeous with their two tone colours.
I have also added some stems from the Vintage Artistry Wedgewood lasercut sheet. In the photo above and the photo below, you can also see how I have used the Anywhere rub-ons to create a "stamped" effect around my flowers and photos.

In the corners I have cut up pieces of Anywhere rub-ons to look like washi tape - I really love how this turned out.
I have added the laser cut sequins from the Wedgewood laserrcut sheet and coloured these with Stickles glitter.

Thanks for visiting the 49 and Market blog today.

Take care,
Michelle

Extra ordinary moments - Dusty Attic

Hi there,

Gosh it's May already! It's starting to get colder here in New Zealand - winter is definitely on its way. Today I am sharing with you a layout that takes me back 40 years ago. I have done a layout of my sister and I back in 1981. We were on holiday down at a coastal town and took a trip to the harbour.

And that is moi sitting in the front. I can laugh at this photo - I used to have a habit of pushing my feet out of my sandals - and in this photo I am doing just that!
I have first adhered my framed photo and clock with foam tape before layering the chipboard and flowers. I have used two beaded flourishes (DA1724) in the bottom right corner and a piece of flourish out of Feathers by Nuneka (DA2733) at the top left corner.

While layering the flowers and leaves I also added some industrial gears (DA2859).
I have then added the title "Extra ordinary moments" (DA2708)
