Sweet as can bee!

Hello lovelies

As I write up this blog, it is a beautiful summers day here in Christchurch, New Zealand - and lovely clear, blue skies. Summer photos are just perfect for the Vintage Artistry Countryside collection. I have created another layout with this vibrant and happy range.

I have used the reverse side of the paper called "Homestead" from the 12 x 12 collection pack as the base of my layout. The photo (credit to Pinterest) was then matted onto ephemera pieces (these pieces were first distressed around the edges). This was then adhered to the page with foam tape down the centre first so that I was able to tuck flowers and other embellishments under the matting as I built up my flower cluster. This also allows me to add rub-ons later as I can still lift the edges to add these.
I used the long fence piece in the laser cut sheet, and cut a third of this fence off. The longer piece was then adhered to the photo and matting using foam tape. I then started my flower cluster. I have used laser cut pieces, ephemera pieces chipboard pieces, Sunbeam ticket essentials, and the Sunshine Royal Spray paper flowers to create my flower cluster. The shorter piece of fence was added slightly lower down and off to the left and I layered some a rooster and some chickens with some flowers here. At the end of the fence I added the basket - I cut a slit in the top and added the flower laser cut though the slit, which makes it look like the flowers are actually in the basket. This was also adhered to the fence with foam tape. I then added more paper flowers behind the basket. The leaves are fussy cut from the bonus sheet that is included in the 12 x 12 collection pack.
To the right of the photo I have added the larger bicycle and the sign post from the laser cut sheet, as well as adding some strips of fabric washi tape (I have used the one with the bees printed on it - so cute!)
I have added the yellow hearts and all the little chipboard sayings from the chipboard pack. The arrangement on the bottom right corner was created using the cannisters, the watering can and the garden tools from the laser cut sheet. These have also been layered with foam tape so I could add the flowers and other laser cut pieces.
I then added the little bees, also from the laser cut sheet - and the title Sweet as can bee! is a rub-on off from the 6x8 rub-on packs (as are all the other rub-on bits on the page).

Happy crafting, until next time.

Hugs,
Michelle

Moments in Time - Dusty Attic (Jan Moodboard)

Hello DustFANattics

I have a layout created using the first moodboard challenge for 2023.

I have used a mixture of 49 and Market products to create the layout.
I have painted some of the heart stems (DA3260) and the title "happy" (DA2444) with an orange acrylic paint. I painted the designer discs #5 (DA2212) and the rosemary leaves (DA1713) with a olive green acrylic paint.
I started with matting my photo and adhering this to the page with foam tape (I actually use left over chipboard pieces) to the centre behind the photo so I was able to tuck the flowers and the discs behind this.
I have used the large disc and the small disc for the left cluster and then added laser cut elements, and some of the rosemary leaves and some of the heart stems in among the cluster.

The little hearts are out of the centres of the stemmed hearts - which I have painted in olive green and added as a feature to the right of the photo.
I finished off adding the title "happy" and the some wishing bubbles and baubles.
These are the products I have used:

Country - 49 and Market

Hello 49 and Market fans

A very happy and prosperous 2023 to you. I am so honoured to be back on this amazing team for another year. I have created a layout using the Vintage Artistry Countryside collection. I love this collection - it's so bright and fun!

The base of the page is the reverse side Vintage Artistry Countryside - Grange. The paper on top cut down to 11"x11" is the reverse side of the Countryside - Sunset Bloom. The photo is then matted with Ephemera and adhered to the page with foam tape. I then added the rubon "Country" from the 12"x12" sentiments rubons,
I then rubbed on the chicken wire rub-ons from the 6"x8" rub-ons around the photo as a background. I have fussy cut some green leaves from the Countryside - Farm Life paper, as well as the leaves from the  bonus sheet included with the Countryside 12"x12" paper collection pack.
I have also used some elements from the lasercuts to create my layers around the photo. There are also some ticket essentials added to the clusters - the salsa and the sunbeam colours.

Aren't these little laser cut bees just the cutest? And not to mention the ducks and the chickens? It really is a fun collection!

Thanks for visiting the blog today!

Hugs,
Michelle

Sugary Sweet - Dusty Attic

Happy new year!

Wishing you all a prosperous and wonderful 2023! Just like that it's a brand new year - thank you Dusty Attic for having me on the team again for 2023 - I just love Dusty Attic chipboard, and so honoured to be able to design for this great brand.

Here is my first project for 2023:

I have used a Stamperia range of papers to create my layout. I first painted all my chipboard with acrylic paint - pinks and white. The flourish (Mystic Flourish DA1747) and the wings of the ladybug (Mini LadyBugs DA3353) in shades of pinks. The hearts (Heart Clusters DA3256), the title (Mini Captions #11 DA1834) and the body of the ladybug were painted with white acrylic paint.
I first matted the photo with papers and then added a half doily to each corner. I added the photo to the page with a foam tape in the middle. This then allowed me to added th flourishes under the photo.
I added the ladybug on top of the flourish - these lady bugs are so cute - there a number in the pack and you can choose closed wings, slightly open wings or fully open wings - I have chosen the fully opened wings for this layout.
I added the flower clusters and the fussy cut elements with the flowers.

I have added some rub-on transfers from 49 and Market's Spectrum Sherbet Strawberry Lemonade 6x8 transfer pack. I then added the hearts and the title "Sugary Sweet" - I thought this appropriate for this gorgeous, sweet photo (credit Pinterest).

I finished off adding some pearls to the layout.
