Dear Santa - 49 and Market

Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays!

By the time this post is up on the blog, Christmas will have been done and dusted here in NZ. Hope that you all had a lovely day. Of course, it is only fitting to carry on the Christmas spirit with a Christmas layout using the Vintage Artistry Christmas Spectacular Collection 2023

I have used two papers from the Christmas Spectacular 12 x 12 Classics Collections pack - adhering the paper called Exemplified (cut down to 11,5") to the Vignettes paper. I have used the wreaths from the Lasercuts Greenery pack as frames for my photos. Once I had cut the photos to size and adhered these to the frames, I adhered these to the paper using 2 layers of foam tape. This gave me the extra height to be able to tuck in other lasercut elements as I had various layers.

I layered a number of flowers, holly and flowers on different levels using foam tape. 

Once I had completed the cluster, I added some Epherema in the mix. 

Rub-ons - the Classic 6x8 pack, were added randomly on the page, at parts around the flower cluster and random areas on the page. The title Dear Santa is off the sentiments lasercut sheet - thought this was quite appropriate given the "Letters to Santa" in the photo! I finished off adding adding some Spectacular  Wishing Bubbles and Baubles.

Beautiful Moments - Dusty Attic

Hello lovelies

This year is just about done and dusted and this is my last Dusty Attic project for 2023!

Something a little different from a layout, I have created a project using a Dusty Attic shadow box (DA3431). This comes flat, and has been etched that you make up the box - as in the first photo in the collage. This is then folded up and glued together to make up the box, which I then painted with heavy white gesso. When this was dry I then added stenciling to the frame using the Postcard Stencil (DA3598). I have added patterned paper to the bottom of the box for the background.

Once dried, I then used a mix of Prima Art Alchemy metallic and matte colour waxes to add colour to the frame. 

The mini foliage (DA2786) and the title "Beautiful Moments" (DA3322) were also gesso'd and coloured using the same Art Alchemy waxes.

I then layered flowers and fussy cut flowers to the right bottom inside corner of the shadow box and built this up, before adding the Geometric border (DA1029) - which I cut off the ends to create a decorative feature on either end of the flower clusters. The photo and the rest of the flowers, fussy cut elements were then added once the border was adhered. This piece of chipboard border was painted with Prima Art Alchemy Sparks Acrylic Paint.

I have added the mini foliage through the flower clusters on the outside as well as on the inside. I finished off adding pearls throughout, and dry brushing white paint to some of the flowers.

Life with you - 49 and Market

Hello lovelies!

"Life with you" is a layout created with Vintage Artistry Moonlit Garden - I am so in love with this beautiful collection. 

I have used the reverse side of the Vintage Artistry Moonlit Garden paper "Thoughtful" from the 12x12 Collection pack. The photos were adhered to the chipboard frames that I used out of the Moonlit Garden Cluster kit. The photo on the right is adhered under the photo on the left (I wanted the left frame to be raised higher than the right frame), on which I then added chipboard under the frame on the left before adding layers of Moonlit Garden Ephemera behind both frames, as well as the "lace" bits from the lasercut elements. Where the Ephemera stuck out on the left of the frame, I have added a chipboard piece "Life with you" as my title. 

From here I built up my flower cluster using Nature's Bounty Paper Flowers (Salt), Moonlit Garden Ephemera and Moonlit Garden Lasercut Elements. I printed a small photo that fit into one of the square chipboard pieces out of the Moonlit Garden Chipboard Pieces.

I have also used some of the lasercut elements out of the Moonlit Garden Cluster kit - like the little blue flowers. I used an embossing tool and gently pressed the centre of these flowers so that the petals stood out and added a small pearl to the centre.

The hinges added to the left frame are also out of the Cluster Kit. The tag "this day" is a piece from the Ephemera pack and I added some twine. There is a roll of washi tape included in the Cluster Kit - I tore off small pieces, and adhered these pieces all around the edge of the page to give it a different effect. I finished off adding some white paint splatters and micro pearls to the layout.

Unforgettable Moments - Dusty Attic

Hello lovelies!

I can't believe we are in the last month of the year. Believe it or not, I am sitting here with a cardigan on. I think mother nature missed the memo about having summer here in NZ. My blog feature today is a project using the December moodboard.

The layout is created using 49 and Market ARToptions Rouge collection. I first painted the Collage Framework #8 (DA3633) before I added my photos. I love these new collage pieces - Dusty Attic have a few designs to choose from. I added the framed photos to the page with foam tape. From there I began building up flower clusters adding Rose Leaves (DA3560) in the clusters.

All the chipboard was painted using acrylic paint. I used a sponge to light;y dab the acrylic paint onto the leaves and the word strip "beautiful moments" (DA3322) so as not fill the leaf veins or letters with paint.

Once all the flowers and leaves were down, I then added the title "unforgettable moments" (DA1459)
