Happiness - 49 and Market

Hi 49 and Market fans

Using a combination of collections and flowers in sage and lilacs, here is my layout for the blog today

The base page is Vintage Artistry Sage - using the reverse side of the paper "Delicate". The photo has been matted onto pieces from the Vintage Artistry Sage Nouveau Ephemera pack, and added with pieces from the laser cut sheets found in the Vintage Artistry Sage Collection 12x12 pack. The laser cut pieces are beautiful - the "ribbon" on my page, is from the laser cut sheet pack - and they look so real.

Once the photo and ephemera was adhered to the page, I layered Sugar Posies, Enchanted Petals and Garden Petals flowers and added flowers and buds from the Irrevocable Beauty laser cut sheet. The leaves from the Sugar Posies flower pack were added once all the flowers were adhered. How cute is the grasshopper from the Irrevocable Beauty laser cut sheet in the top right corner above the photo?

The title "Happiness" is from the Wander layered embellishments pack. The page is then finished off adding wishing bubbles.

Take care,

Michelle

You had me at woof - Dusty Attic

 Hello Dusty Attic fans,

I am here today with a layout created using the August moodboard.

Such beautiful colours - just love this month's moodboard. Here is my take on it

I have started by painting all my chipboard with acrylic paint. The leaves are done in two shades of green. I then painted the fancy trim in green, and then dry-brushed yellow over it. The title is actually "you had me at meow" but I left out the meow, and improvised with using an alphabet and adding woof. I painted the title in light denim blue paint.

The fussy cut frame was added first, then the photo matted on paper. The fancy trim was added next, and from there I added the leaves - using the darker green first and adding the lighter green on top of that. Once that was done, I started layering up the fussy cut elements. I have done the same to the top right corner of the photo.

Here are some more close ups

There is still some time to enter the Dusty Attic moodboard challenge - so come and play along for your chance to win of 2 Dusty Attic vouchers!

Sweet Summer Day - 49 & Market

Hello everyone,

I am so excited about another gorgeous new range that 49 & Market have bought out - the Vintage Artistry Shore Collection .... and it is just beautiful! Here is my layout that I have created with all this new gorgeousness:
And the paper pack includes the most amazing beachy laser cut shapes to use - just look at all the shells. I had curled these to give them dimension before adding these to my layout. The ephemera pack is full of lovely pieces to use too - which I have added in layers behind my photo.
I have layered shells, ephemera and the parchment enchantment petal flowers - and added a bow under the larger flower using 49 & Market's 5-ply jute. The rub-ons are just amazing, with seashells, patterns and seaweed - which I have used to enhance my layout.
I have used the Vintage Artistry Shore stamp set to stamp "BEACHY" on one of the ephemera pieces, and then used the stamp like stamps down the left side of the page. I finished off adding some gold prills to look like "sand"

Thanks for visiting, and I hope you are as excited about this new collection as I am.

Treasured Memories - Dusty Attic

Hello Dusty Attic fans

Hope you are all well and keeping safe. Today I am on the Dusty Attic blog with my July project.
I have started off adding texture with modelling paste and using the Dusty Attic Starry Night stencil. I have then painted all my chipboard with white acrylic paint. The cosmic swirl, the banner, the mini owl the title and the Frangipani's were lighted brushed with Dusty in Colour Lavender Blush paint, to give it a lilac tinge. The leaves have been brushed with Dusty in Colour Jungle Green paint and then sanded with a very light sand paper. I first placed the trim on the page and then added the cosmic swirl frame, adding foam tape under the top part to adhere to the page. The photo has been place on a chipboard circle which was left over from the Skeleton clock (DA1689) - and this fitted just nicely inside the cosmic frame.

I have then added the fussy cut flowers and leaves, 49 and Market flowers, the Dusty Attic Frangipani flowers and Dusty Attic leaves, before added the "treasured" to the flowers.

The mini owl is just so cute - there are three to build up from the pack with open or closed eyes - couldn't resist adding a sleeping owl with the sleeping baby :)
Isn't the owl adorable? I then added a banner to top right corner of the page.
I have then finished off adding some Diamond Stickles to the banner and to the dots on the Cosmic Swirl frame.
