Christmas Wishes - 49 and Market

Hello!

Spectacular is definitely the right word to use for the new Christmas range - called just that "Christmas Spectacular" - I had such fun putting this layout together.

It was a lot of work and took me a really long time to finish - but I was so pleased with the result. When I received the products for the Christmas Spectacular range, my eye caught all the tickets numbered December 1 through to December 31 in the Christmas Spectacular Ticketed Ephemera pack - and this made me think of the advent calendar and this is how the idea of this layout came about. The base of the paper is the paper called "The Spirit". I then cut the paper called "Welcome" from the same pack down into a frame to create the blocks. This was adhered to the "The Spirit" paper with foam tape.
Once this was adhered, I then cut up green matts for all my photos using the "Spruce" paper from the same Collection pack. I sanded down the edges of the green and the photos, also adhering these with foam tape. I have used a number of Laser Cut Elements from both the General and the Greenery packs to decorate each block.
I have added layers of holly leaves - and have curled these, and added foam tape to create dimension. I have also added red beads with Stickles for the berries. Even the little bells have been added with foam tape. The bigger bells are also from the laser cut pack and then I cut up a piece from the Ephemera bits pack and layered these on top of the laser cut pack to create a 3D effect (not quite visible in the photo though).
The laser cut baubles have glossy accents on them too. Again lots of layers of holly added with foam tape and curled. In the blocks that I have used pine cones - these pine cones have also been curled with foam tape in the centre and then the edge glued to the paper to maintain the shape - the bows are from the Laser Cut Elements General pack.
I have also used the poinsettias from the Greenery Laser cut pack. The petals in some have been curled and there is also foam tape under these for dimension.
The candy cane is from the General Laser cut pack, I then added the extra yellow bow (I cut the long end down), cut out the middle of one of the poinsettias and added that with foam tape on top of the bow - so it has a really great dimension.

I hope you have enjoyed this layout - as much as I had putting this together.

Thanks for visiting the blog.

Hugs,
Michelle

Timeless Beauty - Dusty Attic September Moodboodboard

Hello lovelies.

I am back on the blog today with a layout inspired off the September moodboard. And it  is such a beautiful moodboard - aligns very well with the spring month here in the Southern Hemisphere!

Here is the layout I have created using the colours
This is a layout created using Uniquely Creative paper ... and a photo of my beautiful daughter (not that I am being biased .....)
I have printed the photo with a border and adhered this to the paper with a foam tape in the centre of the photo. This has allowed me to add the chipboard pieces under the photo.
I have used a dark teal/green acrylic paint for all my chipboard pieces - sponged directly onto all of the pieces. The Scroll Border (DA3433) has been cut up to allow it to be used as several pieces. This a great way to get more use out of single pieces.
I have added some fussy cut flowers and then created extra dimension with the Mini Heart Buttons (DA3430) and a Butterfly (DA3335).
I then added the title Timeless Beauty (DA2667) and some words (DA1645) to finish off the layout.

You can use the September moodboard for inspiration, and create a project using Dusty Attic chipboard to the Dusty FANattics Facebook page - and you could be in line to win one of 2 AUD50 worth of gorgeous chipboard! Why not give it a go?

Here are the products I have used on my page:

Beauty - 49 and Market

Hello lovelies

Loving the Vintage Artistry Nature's Study, and I have created another layout called "Beauty"

The base of the layout is the Vintage Artistry Nature's Study Colored foundation paper 3. The photo was then adhered to 3 different frames from the Ephemera pack. I then used Color Swatch Eucalyptus Filmstrips behind the photo and frames. I first cut these to shorten them before adhering them behind the photo. I then adhered the frame/filmstrip to the page with foam tape down the centre.
To create my clusters, I have used leaves from the Nature's Study Laser Cut Mushrooms and Foliage pack, and some foliage from the General laser pack, plus butterflies from the Laser Cuts Wings pack. These clusters were created using lots of foam tape to create dimension. All the butterflies have been added with foam under their wings, and glue down the body so the wings could stand up. The closer the foam is added to the body, the more the wings stand up.
I have also added some of the Celery Wildflowers to the cluster and then also added some lasercut mushrooms and the little wheelbarrow from the General lasercuts pack. Chipboard pieces have also been added among the butterflies and the leaves.
The title "Beauty" is a rubon from the Wings Rubon transfer pack. I have also added lots of rubons around the layout - mostly the script and splotches which are in all three of the rubon packs and I have cut and rubbed these on to create a "stamped" background. I have added a chipboard piece, which I then also added the rubon wording "grace and beauty"
I have also added the edge rubons to the top and the bottom of the page.

Thanks for visiting the blog.

Hugs,
Michelle

#adorable - Dusty Attic

Hello my scrappy friends

Happy Spring for those of us in the Southern Hemisphere!

It has been a very sad week here in my hometown, a close friend and scrapbooking sista was tragically killed. Little did I realise the significance of my layout until now, in that she was such a purple girl. She loved purple, wore it often and even had a beanie on with purple flowers on that tragic day. I dedicate this layout to her 💜💜💜💜

The layout has been created with a Uniquely Creative paper range. Each and every flower has been fussy cut. And where I have used their laser cuts, I have cut down the white edges.

In the cluster of fussy cut flowers I have added 49 and Market flowers. The chipboard leaves have been painted with acrylic green paint. This the Foliage #17 set (DA2236), and the mini foliage #2 set (DA2786). These have all been cut up into smaller pieces and inserted among the flower clusters.
The word paint on the word "beauty" has been dabbed on lightly with a sponge so as not to fill the letters with the acrylic paint. This from the wordpl@y #2 (DA1645). I then added the title #adorable from the hashtag sayings DA1597.
I also added one of the ornate pendant #DA1366 - aren't these pendants just adorable? I cut the piece to suit.
These are the products I have used:

Thank you for visiting the blog today.
