Hello lovelies!
Gosh I cannot believe that is April already. The last weekend in March, we in New Zealand had the privilege of being taught by the lovely owner of Dusty Attic, Jen Hedger. It was the annual retreat hosted by our local scrapbook shop in Timaru, it was their 10th anniversary and as a treat the lovely Jen taught us two classes. We had a fabulous weekend! And we get a whole weekend of Dusty Attic scrappiness with classes being taught by Jen all weekend this weekend too.
Here is my project for April:
I painted all my chipboard with white primer first. The frame DA0254, I added two shades of colour crayons to this - watered down - pink and orange shades to match with the paper and the flowers. This was adhered to my page with foam tape. I then started with my fussy cut flowers and leaves around the frame - mostly added with foam tape, so that I was able to add the berries DA3144 under the cluster - these were lightly painted with blue acrylic paint. The title "#beautiful" is one of a few words that you can choose from the Hashtag sayings DA1597
Also painted in the same blue as the berries
The word beauty also comes from a pack of a number of words DA1645 and the ticket on the frame "memories" is from DA1465 - all lightly dabbed with paint so as not to get the paint into the words. And I then just could not resist adding a cute little gnome to the flower cluster. He was also painted with water colour crayons. To finish off, I added white paint splatters.
These are the products I used (DA1597 hashtag sayings to be added):
Thanks for popping in to see the blog.
Take care,
Michelle
