Always Find Time - Dusty Attic Project

Hello lovelies!

It is still lovely and warm here in New Zealand. And this lovely photo (credit of pexels) reminds me so much of the lovely outdoors here in New Zealand. I have created a layout to bring across the wonders of being outdoors and totally in line with the quote "Always find time for the things in life that make you happy" - so often we get so wrapped up in day to day living, we forget what a beautiful world we live in and about taking the time to enjoy its natural wonders! Here is my Dusty Attic project for March:

I have used two papers from 49 and Market Island Paradise range - the Beachy Sands paper has been torn and distressed and placed on top of the Forever Summers paper. I have then added clear gesso before applying Lindy's Stamp Gang inks and walnut stain on the Beachy Sands paper and then randomly added some stamping with black archival ink.. The clocks are from the 49 and Market Dandelion Fields laser cut sheet and the post cards from the bonus sheet that comes with that laser cut sheet. The leaves come from the Tattered Garden laser cut sheet which have layered and given dimension with foam tape.
I have inked the edges of the postcards and then distressed the edges of these as all as the photo. The chains have been embossed with Stampendous Aged Spice embossing enamel. The other Dusty Attic foliage has been painted with dark green acrylic paint.

The title, the arrows and the chicken wire have been embossed with Lindy's Stamp Gang Midnight Teal embossing powder.
I have placed some cogs between the leaves and these have been coloured with Bo Bunny Chocolate Glitter paste.

I have finished off the layout with randomly pasting some prills to give the layout an "outside" feel.

Here are the Dusty Attic products I have used which can be found over at the Dusty Attic online shop

Dusty Attic March 2019 Mood Board

Hello Dusty Attic fans

Its my turn to showcase a layout using the Dusty Attic mood board for March. I just love these beautiful, rich colours that grace the mood board for this month! Aren't these colours gorgeous?
And here is my take on the mood board  - and again my beautiful daughter. How is it these kids get these selfies looking so great, I just cannot master the art of selfies!

I started with 49 and Market paper from the Winter's Edge collection, and altered it by first applying a texture to the background with a flower stencil and clear 3D gloss gel. Once this was dry I dabbed on Dusty Attic sunburnt orange and cranberry paint to bring out the design, and then stamped over this with a script stamp using a dark green archival ink.
The chipboard pieces have been covered in a variety of different mediums - using dusty attic paints as well as a Creative Expressions gilding polish. I have mounted the photo with foam tape to give it height in line with the flower cluster. And finished off using some netting to break the colour of the flower cluster.
The green flourish is actually a heart shaped chipboard, which I have cut in half and switched around to create the leaves. I have sanded down the edges of the photo, and used some old Bo Bunny scrap paper to mat the photo, which I have punched the edges.

I have finished off the page by mixing the dark denim and forest green dusty attic paints and dabbing this around the edge of the page.

These are the Dusty Attic products I have used:

White ... with 1 - March 2019 Challenge

Hello lovelies

And welcome to another new month of a colour challenge at White ... with 1. March is a gorgeous colour too .... ROYAL BLUE. Such a rich and vibrant colour!

And a lovely mood board to match ....
I have so loved working with this colour and here is my take on the challenge for this month:
I was inspired by the ribbon and the pattern in the ribbon to use the Dusty Attic chipboard - Swirly Frame, which I have painted with Dusty Attic blue paint "denim".  First I used a stencil and some modelling paste in line with the shape of the frame. Next I used a script stamp and used blue ink to stamp over the texture paste.
I then splattered some blue ink on the page. I mounted the photo onto chipboard for height, and then added a delicate lace around it.
Next the gorgeous 49 and Market flowers were used to make up the flower cluster plus the 49 and Market archival chipboard fern leaves. I cut up the blue flowers to place them randomly beneath the white flowers.
I then finished off using some artistic stones randomly stuck over the page and dotted some blue paint over these. The paper cut outs - are from a Prima paper in the Georgia Blue range. I used the word "#lovely" from Dusty Attic Hashtags title no 2.

Pop on over to the White ... with 1 page to have a look at the inspiration from the rest of the team, and come and play along with us.

Thanks for popping over to my blog :)
