Curious - 49 and Market

Hi lovelies

I have a new 49 and Market favourite - Vintage Artistry Nature Study. I had such fun creating a layout using this gorgeous collection.

I used the paper called Tattered Writings from the Vintage Artistry Nature Study Collection Paper Pack as the base of my layout. The photo frame on top of the photo is from the Ephemera Bits pack and the photo is then matted with various pieces from the same pack. This was then adhered to the page using foam tape.
I  then added some rub-on transfers around the photo frame using the 6 x 8 foliage rub-on transfers. From here, I started with the cream Natures Bounty flowers first, and layering this with leaves from the Mushrooms and Foliage laser cut pack.
The general laser cut pack has the most exciting pieces in it - the twigs, the wheelbarrow, the bugs ... and the little birds nest with the eggs in it ... just adorable! And I have used these on my layout.
I then layered mushrooms and more of the Natures Bounty flowers round the bottom of the photo, with the wheelbarrow and the wooden lock.
I have used various thickness foam tape to create the different layers and the dimension in the cluster. I created the signage feature - also from the general laser cut pack. I have added rub-ons first, and then added the three signs on foam tape down the left side of the layout. The title "curious" has been adhered with foam tape to the top of the photo.

Thank you for visiting the blog today.

Hugs,
Michelle

Serenity - Dusty Attic

Hello lovelies

Today I have a layout created using the July Moodboard. Why not use the moodboard to create a project using Dusty Attic chipboard and post your entry to the Dusty FANattics Facebook page  - you could win a AUD50 worth of gorgeous Dusty Attic chipbaord :)

I have gone more of the greener tones mixed with browner tones to create my layout:

I love nature layouts - and I have created a few layouts with the magical mushroom clusters - and couldn't resist another layout. These magical mushroom clusters are so gorgeous - as they have so many elements to use in one pack - leaves, mushrooms, butterflies, rocks, grass ....
In this layout I have used the Magical Mushroom Cluster #4 (DA3481). All my chipboard was first prepped with white gesso. I have used a vast range of mediums to colour my chipboard. This ranges from water colour paints, acrylic paints, Posco pens and then finished off with Stickles and Glossy Accents.
The mini-foliage (DA3421) and the Botanic Mix flourishes #6 (DA3351) were painted with acrylic paint, and stickles added to the flourishes.
I started first with my photo and matting, adhered this to the page, before I arranged my die cuts and chipboard pieces. I even added a little lady bug (DA3353) to the layout - they are so cute! Love how you have different options in the pack of open and closed wings - just perfect! I also added glossy accents to the wings here.
The title "Serenity" comes in a pack with other words - Word Pack #58 (DA3427) - this was also painted with two shades of burnt orange and brown paint, and then finished off with glossy accents.
I have also created a little feature cluster in the corner on the right of the layout using a mixture of die cuts and chipboard
I finished off adding splatters of metallique brown acrylic paint to the page.

These are the Dusty Attic products I have used:

Sweet - 49 and Market

Hi there!

I have created another layout with the gorgeous Spectrum Gardenia - there are just so many options of creating different projects with all the colours or combining different colour combinations. Here I have combined purple and green to create my layout:

I have used two papers here - the reverse side of the Spectrum Gardena Painted Foundations Trimmings paper - cut down to 11.5"x11.5", distressing the edges and adhered to Spectrum Garden Solids 6 green paper. The photo was matted with laser cuts from the Essential laser cut elements pack, a frame added from the General laser cut elements pack, and then adhered to the paper with foam tape, at the centre under the photo - these then leaves space to tuck in elements and flowers under the photo.
I then began to layer the flowers around the photo to create a flower cluster using Kismet Wildflowers paper flowers and Kismet Florets paper flowers.
Among the flowers I have added leaves from the Leaves lasercut elements pack, and some elements from the Ephemera Bits pack.
I created a cluster in the top right corner - tearing a v into the top page and using the lasercut safety pin piece (which I cut a bit out, adhering under the curl, to make it look like it had been pinned through the paper) - finishing off with other laser cut pieces and flowers.
I have also added rubons to the page - some down the sides of the layout (6x8 extras rubon pack), and some wording from the 12x12 sentiments rubon sheet, as well as the title, - rubbed onto paper and then fussy cut and adhered to the page with foam tape. There is also a green butterfly rubbed on to the top of the flower cluster on the left from the 6x8 Botanical rubon set.

Thank you for visiting the blog today.

Hugs,
Michelle

Amazing - Dusty Attic

 Hello lovelies

And welcome to a new month - and the last half this year! Oh gosh - can you believe that?

I have a new project to share with you.

Well it's winter in New Zealand - and what better way to embrace it, than with a wintery layout :). I have used the gorgeous (yes, I love these) Blue Bells chipboard (DA2572 and DA2573) , and the title Amazing (DA2503) for this layout. All pieces were first coated in white Gesso. Once these were dry I add a metallic white chalk paint to these - I dabbed this on with a sponge to create a thicker effect and to make it look more like snow. Once all pieces were dry, I assembled my layout.
I added the photo to the page on foam tape first, adding the 49 and Market frames and acetate film strips to the sides.
From there I placed my chipboard pieces and arranged my flowers around the pieces before sticking everything down.

Once flowers and chipboard were all adhered, I dry brushed the flowers with paint, splattered white paint on the layout and added some pearls and finished off adding my title to the bottom left corner of the layout.

These are the chipboard pieces I have sued:
