Happy little moment - 49 and Market

Hello 49 and Market fans

I have created another layout using the beautiful ARToptions Viken collection. 

I have used two papers from the Viken 12 x 12 paper collection - the Endearing paper and the Temptation paper which was cut down to 11 x 11. The frame of the photo is from the ephemera pack and I cut out the inner part of the frame before I glued the photo to it. This is then attached to the paper with foam tape.

The inside cover of the Viken collections pack comes elements that can be fussy cut - these fussy cut elements are what I have used around the frame with other ephemera pieces and laser cut pieces.

I have also added flowers from the ocean jade royal posies flower pack among the fussy cut elements, the ephemera and laser cuts.

I have also added some Spectrum Sherbet Tidal Wave acetate leaves to the clusters and I have add some Viken rub-ons from the 6x8 rubons.

To finish off I have added the thin washi tape around the page and added white paint splatters.

Everyday magic - 49 and Market

Hello lovelies

"Everyday magic" is a layout created using Spectrum Sherbet and using just the Strawberry Lemonade colours of the collection.

I first started with the paper called Sprinkled from the Spectrum Sherbet 12x12 Foundations pack. I rubbed the entire sheet of of the 12x12 Strawberry Lemonade rub-on transfer onto the sprinkled side of the paper to create my background. I then cut this paper down  - making sure I cut away without cutting the rub-on stitching. The edges of the paper were distressed before I added this to a matching card stock.

The photo was adhered on top of a frame from the Spectrum Sherbet Strawberry Lemonade frame set, and I also added "lace" around the edges - the lace is off the Spectrum Sherbet Essential laser cut sheet. I only adhered the edges at the frame end of the lace and then ran my finger under the lace to bend it up a little for dimension. This was then adhered to the page with foam tape, and then I added the journal-like paper edges also from the same laser cut sheet under this on the left.

From here I started my cluster first with middle sized flowers from the Bashful Royal Posies flower pack and the yellow flowers from the Marigold Rustic Blooms flower pack, and then built up my cluster of Laser cut elements and Strawberry Lemonade ephemera bits. 

The leaves added are all off the Strawberry Lemonade laser cut elements. I have pulled the leaves apart that these are all single leaves so that I was able to tuck these in around my cluster. All the elements were added using foam tape to add dimension.

Once I was done, I added hearts and words from the Spectrum Sherbet chipboard pieces and Spectrum Sherbet wishing bubbles.

Sweetest - 49 and Market

Who can resist another layout created with the gorgeous Spectrum Sherbet - bright and colourful - and such a happy range. 

I have used the Kaleidoscope paper from the Spectrum Sherbert foundations 12 x 12 paper pack for the base of my layout. 

The photographs were matted using bits out of the Spectrum Sherbert laser cut elements and then added to the page with foam tape in the centre of each, so I was able to tuck elements under the photos.

I then started adding layers of leaves, flowers and laser cut elements from all three laser cut packs - Essential laser cuts, Tidal Wave laser cuts and the Strawberry Lemonade laser cuts. These were added using foam tape to add dimension. I cut the viewfinder in half and and then glued each end slightly closer to each other so the view finder lifted.

I have also added chipboard hearts and words from the Chipboard pieces. I also added tidal wave index clips to the edges of the photo on the left and the right as shown below

Among the laser cut elements, I also added Sunshine Royal Posies paper flowers and Bashful Royal Posies paper flowers.

I finished off adding wishing bubbles and trinkets around the page and the little butterfly from the Tidal Wave laser cut pack - adding glue to the body and foam tape under each wing so as to provide dimension to the wings.

Angel - Dusty Attic

Well hello July!

And boy is it really cold here in New Zealand. We were having these balmy winter days and then all of a sudden we had a drop in temperature and winter arrived with a vengeance.

Of course when it's so cold outside, you don't need an excuse to stay indoors and scrapbook! 

I took some inspiration off a card I saw on Facebook with die cut numbers in cardstock, and it gave an idea to create this layout  - knowing that I had some Dusty Attic chipboard numbers - DA2389 called "Number Jumble" - and that would work well. I also used some stars from DA2441 and postmarks from DA3150, loosened them from the sheet, and added these all onto double sided tape on my mixed media mat. Using a sponge dauber, I sponged the numbers, the stars and the postmarks with shades of yellow, orange, pink and green paint. Once dried I added clear Wink of Stellar to all the chipboard pieces (accept the title)

I used a Uniquely Creative range of papers - fussy cut the flowers, leaves and squirrel. I used two different papers, tearing the striped paper in half, inking the edges and adhering to the base page, and inking all around. I inked all the fussy cut pieces before adhering around my matted photo.

I layered the fussy cut elements adding the numbers and stars as I layered, and then also added the postmarks 

I then added the title "#angel" from the DA1597 Hashtag sayings - painted with an orange tone and adding stickles to the title. I then covered the photo, splattered white paint over the layout and added coloured pearls to finish.
