March Challenge over at White ... with 1

It's March already - where has the time gone?! And of course start of the new month, means a new challenge over at White ... with 1. And what an amazing colour for this month - ORANGE PEEL. 

The creative team have done beautiful layouts - the orange and white is an amazing combination - so vibrant! Have a look at their fabulous layouts here...

And combined with their beautiful layouts, how about the fabulous mood board to get creating  ...

Here is my take for March

I have used orange chalk under the photo mat and embellishments. The chipboard has been painted in orange - and the stitches are hand drawn along the edges.

Looking forward to seeing the creations on this challenge for the month - such a great colour!

Hello everyone ...

Hope you are all having a good Waitangi day!

For Artfull Crafts Design Team - I have been playing with this Kaisercraft UBud Dreams range this week - in my element as the blue/teal is one of my favourite colours. Here is a layout I created using these beautiful papers:

Using a card stock as my base I have cut down the reverse side of the  Mandala paper and distressed the edges. I have then used a stencil and texture paste to create the mask. Once this was dry, I then used two different inks - a green one and a blue one to spray over the page, and created some splats with both colours. I cut out a frame from the Sekar paper and also cut out the mandala from the Bayu paper - these are placed behind the photo.The paper in the tears is the Citra paper. The stamp is from an older range of Kaisercraft but the clear stamps available with this range will work just as well. I have then used some of the stickers off the sticker sheet and some of the collectables.

White ... with 1 - February Challenge

Can you believe it is February already? And the colour for White ... with 1 this February is Blue Jeans

Below i s my layout for the month of February with the lovely Denim Jeans (and the sketch below used as a base)

I have so few photos of my son - he just does not like having his photo taken and I really need to catch him unawares ... this is one of my favourite photos of him.
Most of the elements on this page are chipboard. These have been gesso'd and then painted with a blue paint. I used a stencil and texture paste on the white cardstock  and then lightly dusted chalk over this, and then stamped on top of this, And adhered the photos and the chippies.

Hello  - here is a project created for Artfull Crafts ....

Aw - isn't this just the cutest, cutest range .... Kaisercraft Peek A Boo  (even the name of the range is cute!) Sadly my children are all grown up and most of my baby photos are all scrapped - but I have managed to find a few to add to my exploding box and tell a little story of my gorgeous boy (who turns 24 in April)  ....

I used the papers - Kid, Precious, Cherub, and Bambino to decorate the box and each of the box's page. The Cherub paper is perfect for mini albums and pocket pages - as one can cut up the page for pockets and tags.

The bunny on the bottom left picture above was fussy cut from the Specialty Paper - Our baby boy (varnish) - it's quite an awesome paper this, as it quite thick like cardstock and allow you to complete details of your baby (the girl range has one too) - perfect for a 12 x 12 album.

I decorated the pages and the box using the collectables and stickers from the sticker sheet.

Hello Beautiful - Kaisercraft PS I Love you range

Today I have added a layout t the Artfull Crafts blog using the lovely "PS I Love You" range from Kaisercraft - how beautiful. soft and romantic this stunning range? I love the soft pastels in pinks and greys - and the lovely butterflies.

I have used some of the papers from the 6 x 6 paper pad and cut to various sizes and distressed these, and others I have punched the edges. The papers have then been layered randomly. I have masked two butterflies with gesso using some pink ink to give it the pink tinge and I have used the same paste mixture on the chipboard flourish. The chipboard has also been covered in glossy accents. I also used the same paste mixture on the wooden hearts. The layout is finished off with some of the collectables available in this gorgeous range.

Beautiful - White ... with 1 Creative Team January 2017

My first month on the creative team for White ... with 1 and we get the gorgeous "Princess Pink" to create with - along with the a mood board - so appropriate to my style. Pretty and flowery .... right up my alley :)

And here is my take on the challenge for the month:

First off, I stenciled some flowers with white gesso behind the top left and bottom right corner of the photos, and then stamped with pink ink using the Gabrielle Pollaco stamps and lightly coloured this in with chalk. I inked the chipboard frame and the title in pink and then applied glossy accents before adhering to my page.

I layered the flowers and above the chipboard frame and around the flowers. I pulled out some muslin and tucked these under the flowers. I also added some sequins and dribbled some pink ink on the background.

The butterfly is a punch out from a punch - using the same punch - pink cardstock and some patterned paper.
