Not lost, just exploring - 49 and Market

Hello there,

My project on the blog today has been created using the Vintage Artistry Everywhere Collection - I have been dying to play with this collection - there are so many gorgeous elements to this collection, so much to create with!

Here is my layout:

The base of my layout is the plain side of the Vintage Artistry Everywhere Ticket Montage paper from the Collection pack. I then added matt to my photo first using a piece out of the Everywhere Ephemera pack, then layering Everywhere film strips, Everywhere Ephemera and an Everywhere Chip-board Map Frame. Before placing my photo I adhered the mesh laser cut piece from the Everywhere Ultimate Page kit (I cut this in half and adhered them apart so that I could adhere my photo between the two cuts pieces) The photo was adhered with foam tape on the centre so that I left the corners free to add Everywhere rub-ons underneath.
On the sides of the photo are rub-ons from the12x12 Everywhere Color Wash Rub-on set. I then added rub-ons from both sets of 6x8 Everywhere rub-on sets around the photo to create a background.

I love the title "Not lost, just exploring" - also a rub-on from the 6x8 Everywhere Album Kit rub-on set. The word disc and suitcases are from the Everywhere lasercut collection. I then made a shaker box using an Everywhere Chipboard Geo Frame - and a piece from the Everywhere Ephemera pack for the background to the shaker box.
I have then added some wording from the Ephemera pack, and the Everywhere chipboard set. I finished off the layout adding a border around the page using the geo map washi tape.

Thanks for visiting the blog.

Hugs,
Michelle

Magical Moments - Dusty Attic

Hello!

I am so loving these new mushroom and fairy door releases, that I had to make another layout with these new releases. I have used the May moodboard to create my layout.

Here is the layout I have created:
I really had a lot of fun creating this layout, especially with the new chipboard. Both Mushroom clusters (DA3473 and D3478) were first prepared lightly with white gesso. I then used a mixture of Stampin' Up and Uniqolor Water Soluble Brush tip markers, and diluted with water to colour all my chipboard using the markers directly or a paint brush with water to lighten some the colour.
The papers and rubons are 49 and Market's Vintage In the Leaves - perfect colours for the moodboard, and I have used the same colours to match the mushrooms.

I have used the various little grasses, mushrooms and rocks to create my clusters. The title Magical Moments (DA3448) was painted with Prima Art Alchemy Metallique paint.

Why not have a go at creating a project using Dusty Attic Chipboard and this months moodboard, and post your entry to the Dusty FANattics Facebook page for your chance to one of AU$50 worth of gorgeous Dusty Attic chipboard.

Happy Memories - 49 and Market

Hello lovelies

Oh my goodness - how about this new collection Colour Swatch Inkwell - isn't it just amazing? I just love the shades of blues!

There were so many beautiful papers in this collection, I didn't know which to start with! I have used two papers out of the 12 x 12 paper collection  - the Color Swatch Inkwell 2 and 3. The base of the layout is the no 2 paper. Leave the bar code section of the paper on and tear a little at the bottom - I left the strip on as I wanted more of the white at the bottom, and I then tore a bit more off the top and adhered this to the no 2 paper. I used 3 square frames from the Color Swatch Inkwell Frame It set, added the two largest Inkwell acetate film strips (cut in half) behind the photos and then added the smaller large filmstrip at the bottom centre - this was then adhered to the page with foam tape.
From here I began with my flower clusters - using laser cut elements (leaves and flowers), Nature's Bounty Cornflower flowers, a mix of Florets Cornflour and Pacific flowers. I have cut up the leaves from the Nature's Bounty pack and also separated all the small buds to create my clusters.  I have dry brushed the flowers with white paint.
Among my flower clusters I have also added some of the Inkwell Ticket Essentials - these are amazing - there are all sorts of designs and colours in box - ideal for all sorts of scrapbooking pages.
Once I had done here, I added Inkwell rub-on transfers - like the ink blotches, and some wording around the page. I also added a corner feature to the top left and bottom right corners of the page.

I have then added the title "happy memories" which is from the Vintage Artistry Everywhere Chipboard words pack.

Thanks for popping over to visit the blog, and I hope I have inspired you with this beautiful Color Swatch Inkwell collection.

Hugs,
Michelle

Everyday Moments - Dusty Attic

Hello Dusty FANattics

And here we are in May.... and a new month, means new projects! Have you seen the new releases over on the Dusty Attic website? Click on shop and click on what's new or there is also the new releases under that with March 2023. I have had the priviledge to play with some of these new releases, and I hope you enjoy them as much as I have.

I have used a paper range from Scrapboys to create my layout. I prepared all my chipboard with white gesso. Everything but the butterflies and the title was painted using Dusty Attic in Colour Acrylic paint and other Acrylic paints. I have used water and the paint to colour in the chipboard pieces. With the Fairy Door (DA3486), I watered down my pink paint quite a bit before adding this to the door, giving it a pink tinge. When that was dry, I paint slightly darker stripes down the door, then sanded this down and then rubbed a brown ink pad slightly over the door. Once this was dry, I then sanded the whole door down slightly ... so that it gave it a antique look. After that, I then inked the edges of the door and the rock feature around the door.
The door was adhered with foam tape for dimension and I was then able to add the chipboard leaves, rocks, and mushrooms to the flower cluster. I have used some of the smaller mushrooms, acorns and butterflies from the Magic Mushroom Cluster #5 (DA3482)
The flower cluster on the left is created with the Magic Mushroom Cluster #3 (DA3480), making the cluster with fussy cut flowers, and the grasses, acorns, leaves and rocks from the cluster pack.
The title Everyday Moments (DA3434) and the butterflies were painted with Prima Alchemy Metallique Paint.
I have also added some the mini bird cages to the layout paint these also with the same Prima paint
To finish off, I have added some little pearls over the flower clusters and the page.
I absolutely love the new fairy doors and mushroom collections that have been released, and with this there are some lovely forest ferns and mini gems and crystals. Go check it out :)
