A moment captured - Dusty Attic

Hello there,

My layout today is inspired by the March moodboard

I love the calmness this moodboard portrays and looks so peaceful and beautiful. Here is my layout
I started the layout first with adding strips of black and grey paper pieces larger than the photo. Then I added matt gel to this and went over this with white gesso. Once this was dry I added various blends of ink over this and when this was dry added some stamping. I then adhered the photo and layers of paper behind and stuck down the flower cluster.
The chipboard leaves (DA2897) were coloured with metallic waxes. These were added to the flowers once the flowers were stuck down.
The same wax was applied the delight definition (DA2997)
The butterfly (DA2385) was also coloured with the same metallic wax

For the title I used the wording "a moment" from DA2045 and the word "captured" was made up from the lean ABC set (DA2697) - I did this as I needed the narrower letters for where I was placing my title. The title was first painted with a metallic gray paint and then brushed over with black paint. Once this was dry, I added glossy accents to the letters

To finish off I added some mini art stones mixed with gray ink. I also added some pearl flourishes.

The Story - 49 and Market

Hello 49 and Market fans

So excited to bring you a layout with another gorgeous new release "Vintage Artistry Collectors Edition Volume 2" - the colours are just so bright and beautiful.

There are the most gorgeous papers in this collection and there are two sets of lasercut pieces to use, and the prettiest of papers. For my layout I have used paper from the collection pack. I first started with a lasercut piece book look alike piece from the laser cuts in the collection pack, and then added pieces (distressing the edges first) from the Curators Essentials Remnants pack. These were added to the page with foam tape to enable me to tuck in flowers and laser cuts to create my flower cluster
Before adding the flowers, I added the three "lace pieces" from the laser cut sheet and layered these under the photo matts and they have a lovely kink in them that bends as you can see in the photo below
The flower cluster is made up of Royal Spray Passion Pink flowers and the yellow flowers Rustic Bouquet Marigold, and lasercut flowers from the Collection pack.

I have added ARToptions Avesta chipboard pieces among the flowers, as well as the top of the page and on the "book" in the corner. I have added some Curators Stitched Washi Tape and coloured pearls to finish off.

Thanks for visiting the blog today.

Take care,
Michelle

These Moments - 49 and Market

Greetings scrapbooking friends

On the blog today - a layout created with the new Curators Botanical collection. The blue, purple, yellow hues with the rich green foliage in this collection are just stunning!

I have used two papers out of the collection pack for this layout Curators Botanical Natural History paper and the reverse side of the Curators Botanical Records paper (this has been cut down to 11"x11", distressed and adhered to the Natural History paper).
The photo has been matted with a mixture of frames off the Curators Botanical Laser cut sheet and frames and pieces from the Curators Botanical Ephemera bits. I have also added some lace edging from the laser cut sheet and some edging from the Curators Essential Laser cut sheet.
The matted photo was adhered to the page with foam tape and I then added the fence pieces from the Laser cut sheet and the ephemera pack layering them on top of each other on either side of the photo.  Before adhering the flower cluster, I used various pieces from the Curators 12x12 rub-on sheet and the 6x8 rub-on sheets around my photo matt.
I then layered my flower pieces from the Laser cut sheets

The stamp frames in the middle of the cluster are from the laser cut sheet and the paper stamp base is from the Essentials pack - I have added a stamp to this using the Curators Botanical Postage Stamp washi tape. I have also added some Huckleberry Sugar posies in the cluster.

I have added 2 tags from the Curators Botanical Tag Set and the title These Moments is from the Ephemera pack.

Thank you for visiting the blog today.

Cheers,
Michelle

Jan-Dec for Dusty Attic

Hi there,

Welcome to March! And back today with a new layout.

I loved these month chipboards and really wanted to use them all on one layout - and came up with this layout using a Mintay paper that was perfect to display these monthly chippies.
All chipboard is painted using Prima Art Alchemy metallique paints.
I have fussy cut the flowers and elements and layered these with ivy leaves.
