Have yourself a merry little Christmas - 49 & Market

Hello scrapbooking friends

I am excited to showcase the another gorgeous collection here at 49 and Market - the Vintage Artistry Peace and Joy. This is truly a beautiful collection!

A beautiful mix of blues, greens and reds - it is simply gorgeous.

I started my layout using paper from the 12 x 12 Collection pack - the Vintage Artistry Peace and Joy Starry paper, then tearing pieces from the Treetops paper and the Wishes paper adhering to the right side of the page. The photo is matted onto frames off the Laser cut pieces from the Collection pack.

How cute is this ribbon bow from the laser cut sheet? To create my clusters around the photo, I have used pieces from the Peace and Joy Ephemera pack and the laser cut sheet, with Royal Posies and Majestic Bouquet Tomato flowers in between.

And aren't these Santa boots just adorable? I have used Wink of Stellar over these boots - not very visible on photos here, but it does make them pop on the page. 

I have then added quite a bit of the Peace and Joy Rub-on Transfers to the background and under the layered cluster - they are just so gorgeous - as you can see I added quite a bit to my page!

I then added some Peace and Joy baubles and trinkets - like these bubbles on the above photo. Have a look at the other photos above, and there is also the cutest reindeer and robin from this trinket pack. 

I finished off adding german crystal glass to the cluster and flowers - but the shiny is not showing through on the photos.

Let's go on a Road Trip - Dusty Attic September Moodboard

Hello friends,

Today I am back to feature a layout created with the September moodboard.

Love these neutral colours - and this is so soft and calming. Here is my layout inspired by the moodboard.

When I received our DT box with the suitcase chipboard (DA2958) in it, I knew I had to use these somewhere on a layout. They even come with the extra buckles and straps to build up a 3D effect. So I chose a photo (found on Pinterest) with a suitcase so I could use the chipboard suitcase. I have also used some mushrooms among my flowers.

The flowers are all layered and the spring vines were added to the flower clusters (DA2791 - I used two)

I thought the title "let's go on a road trip" was very fitting. I have then added some stars the Tabs and Starbursts chipboard (DA2946).

Autumn Leaves - 49 and Market

Hello lovelies

I am back today with the a new collection - not only is the name of the collection just awesome, but so are the colours - Vintage Artistry In the Leaves Collection

The base of my layout is the reverse side of the Vintage Artistry In the Leaves Journal Card paper. I have left the name strip on the bottom and trimmed the equivalent off the top of the page. The photo is matted with pieces from the In the Leaves Ephemera pack, the frame over the photo is also from the Ephemera pack. These were distressed and layered and added to the centre of the page on foam tape.

The flowers used are the Country Blooms in Ginger and then layering the In the Leaves foliage leaves - these are acetate and in order to get them lifted, I added foam tape under these.  I have also added the word rose gold word clips "memories" and the shape clips "arrow" 

There is a butterfly already printed on the frame from the Ephemera pack plus there is a single butterfly in the same pack, which I have glued and raised on the frame, as they are the same size. I added some Sprinkles to the leaves. The Autumn Leaves title is from the Washi tape pack - one side has die cut shapes - which is how I was able t add the title to the page. 

I have also included some of the In the Leaves rub-ons to the page.

This collection is beautiful and I just love the rich colours. I hope you enjoy it too.

Discover - Dusty Attic

Greetings Dusty Attic fans,

Here we are in September - and for us in NZ, marks spring - yay, bring on long summer days!

Today I would like to share my project created for Dusty Attic for September. I went with crearting a boy layout for a change from my usual flowery layouts.

I had such fun putting this layout together - the tools and the trucks are just so adorable! I started first with using an ink and blending tool to add a stencil pattern on the page. This is the DA1322 circuit stencil. I then stamped with a script stamp over the stencilling. The chipboard pieces were first coloured using metallique waxes, using a variety of colours to create a rusty effect.

The layered bolts (DA2880) are just fabulous - and these are designed to be layered to look like the real thing - I just love these.

Aren't these little tools (DA2878) just gorgeous - I did paint these in two colours - the handles in a blue and the tool part in metallique iron, and then waxed over these. These screwdrivers even have the different ends for flat screws and star screws! I also added some cars and a truck from DA2884 and DA2945.

I then ended off with the title "discover" and adding some splatters on the page.

49 & Market September Sketch Challenge

Hello there,

It's a new month, and a new month means a new sketch Challenge over at 49 & Market. And I so loved this month's challenge - I hope you love it as much as I did.

And this is the sketch:

I turned the sketch once anti-clockwise and did my take on it from there.

The base of the paper is the bonus sheet included on the back of the cover of the Vintage Artistry Beached 12 x 12 Collection. I then did some stamping with a script stamp down the sides and through the centre before I began putting my layout together.

I have used the laser cut flowers and leaves from the Vintage Artistry Blush Collection and combined these in layers with the Royal Spray Passion Pink paper flowers and the leaves that come from the same flower pack

I have also added Blush Wishing Bubbles and Baubles among the leaves and flowers. 

I then added rub-ons from the Vintage Artistry Essentials rub-on pack - using the splatter like ones and the postage stamps. I then rubbed these around the elements and also on top of each other to create an effective background.

I then brushed white paint over the edges of the flowers and added some beads to finish off.
