Explore - 49 and Market

Hello everyone

Today I am excited to share with you a layout created with the new Vintage Artistry Hike More Collection - and its another great collection from 49 and Market:

I just love the colours of this Vintage Artistry Hike More Collection - perfect for the outdoors. And it works so well with my photo - which is my daughter and two of her closest friends out at Washpen Falls here in Canterbury, New Zealand.

I have used the reverse side of the paper called "In the Thicket" and then cut down and distress the reverse side of the "Bramble" paper to create my layout. I used pieces from the Hike More Ephemera pack layered behind my photo to create a matt, adhered to the page with foam tape. In the above photo, I have used the Hike More rub-ons for the saying "Life is Short & the World is Wide" and then bits that have the butterfly and the dragonfly.

The frame on the photo is from the Hike More Chipboard Stickers. The flower cluster is made using ephemera and some flowers from the Olive Royal Spray, Majestic Bouquet Ivory flower and the Mango Royal Spray posies, plus a little bit of jute. There is also bits of rub-ons added around the page here.

I have used some here over the viewer slide - they really are easy to use and rub-on really well.

Here is another rub-on title from the Hike More collection - "The Great Outdoors"
I finished off adding the title "Explore" to the photo and the bauble that says "nature lover" ro the flower cluster from the Hike More "Wishing Bubbles and Trinkets"

Hope it is nice and warm where you, and if you are out outdoors - your photos will be wonderful with this Vintage Artistry Hike More Collection.

Take care,
Michelle

Capture this Moment - Dusty Attic

Hello lovelies

I am back on the blog today with my layout inspired from the July moodboard

Teal is one of my favourite colours, so I drew my inspiration off this colour
I created the layout using a 49 and Market paper from the Vintage Artistry Shore collection. I then painted the Mystic Frame DA1744 with a primer before adding shades of Prima Metallique wax.
The photo was then cut to a circular size and added to the frame before layering my flowers. I then dabbed the Mint leaves (DA2762) with the same waxes - being very gentle with the dabbing so as not to fill up the veins of the leaves.

I then added these leaves under the flowers. I did the same technique of waxing for the title "Capture this moment" (DA1843) but adding a slightly darker shade to the title to accentuate it.
Once done, I finished off with some micro beads and rose gold thread.

These are the products that I used:

Thanks for visiting the blog today.

Take care,
Michelle

It's a Beach Day - 49 and Market

Hello 49 and Market fans,

Oh my gosh - the new Vintage Artistry Beached collection is just fabulously bright and colourful - and just perfect for happy beach days.

The base page is the reverse side of the Vintage Artistry Beached paper "Unchartered" and then I cut down the Vintage Artistry Beached "journal card" paper and distressed the edges, attaching to the Unchartered paper with the reverse side up.
The collection pack comes with gorgeous laser cut pieces. There are two stamp like frames which I cut the tops off of to make a frame to fit a 6" x 4" photo. I attached this to the paper with foam tape before cutting the laser cut netting in half and tucking in under the top and the bottom of the photo. From here I attached the "elastic" band and the bow I have added with foam tape for dimension.

I then began layering the laser cut flowers, and curling the sea shells and adhering to the cluster - by curling the shells, gives that extra dimension to the shells.

And check out the Vintage Artistry Beach Wishing Bubbles and Trinkets - these are supper for adding that special touch to your layout - and check out the flip-flops (jandals as they are called here in NZ) - they are super cute, which I have added to the flowers here.

I have also added the wishing bubbles randomly on the page.

We are in the middle of winter here in New Zealand, and this collection reminds me of summer - roll on hot, summer days .........

Thanks for visiting the blog today.

Till next time, when I will be able to show you a layout using the Vintage Artistry Hike More Collection.

Cheers,
Michelle

Memories Documented - Dusty Attic

 Hello friends,

Cannot believe it is July already - this year sure is going fast. Today I have a layout to share with you:

The paper is a 49 and Market paper and I have brushed the petals of the flowers with some paint to bring through the purple hue. The frame in this layout is one of the negatives from the frame pack DA2673 - distressed frames rectangle. This was first painted with Dusty in Colour paint - Faded Denim, and then brushed with Prima Alchemy waxes.
I then painted the leafy scrolls DA0764 in white gesso first, and then brushed over with Prima Alchemy wax.

These small scroll was added under the frame and the larger frame then added above the frame lined up with the smaller frame. I then added my flowers.
A fairy from DA0562 and a cage from DA1188 has been added in the flower clusters
The flower cluster at the top right of the page is made with a Spring Vine DA2790

The title memories documented is from the mini caption pack DA2114 and attached to the frame. The word perfect is from the wordpl@y no 2 pack DA1645.

I have finished off adding white splatters and sequins.

These are the Dusty Attic chipboard pieces I have used:
