Remember Today - 49 and Market

Hello 49 and Market friends

Today I have created a project with an older collection using paper from the Sweet Reflections Collection

This paper is the Sweet Reflections Observatory paper which I have used as my base. I have stenciled the background with texture paste using a Dusty Attic stencil called Starry Night. The wooden frame that I have added my photo to (and mounted to the page with double foam tape), is fussy cut from the Sweet Reflections bonus paper that came with the laser cut sheet. I have then added the "curtain feature" from the Wedded Bliss laser cut sheet - but have cut this into the two pieces that it looks like it is draping over the frame that  I have cut. I then fussy cut the flower arrangement on top of the wedding cake and tucked this under the flower part of the curtain at the top left of the frame. I have then arranged and layered the various the Sky and Punch coloured mini flowers and the Punch and Cloud coloured Country Blooms.
I have arranged and layered the flower branches and leaves from the Wedded Bliss laser sheet around the flowers, as well as adding in some laser cut shapes from the Serendipitous laser cut sheet and the laser cut sheet from the 8 x 8 Bold & Beautiful, and the lock from the Sweet Reflections laser cut sheet. The chipboard leaves, mesh and title come from white Archival Chipboard called Remember Today. I have cut up the mesh to place it under the flowers and the side of the frame.

I have then added some string pearl and sequence to the flowers and stamped with a dark grey using the Gabi's stoic stamp.

Have a great week,
Michelle

Dream Passionately - 49 & Market

Hello 49 and Market friends!

Here is to a happy New Year and best wishes for 2020! Today I am showcasing my first post for the year. I have used mostly the Bold and Beautiful collection for my layout.
The base page is the Bold and Beautiful page "Lovely", and using the green reverse side of the Serendipitous Rain Storm paper, I have torn this and adhered to the base page, before stamping a stitch border around the page with a stitch stamp from Gabi's Line Stitch Stamp Set. I have used laser post cards from the Bold and Beautiful Laser cut sheet, as well as the post cards that are on the laser cuts sheet in the Bold and Beautiful 8x8 paper pack to mat my photo - the photo is adhered with foam tape.
There is a gorgeous circular wreath on the laser cut sheet in the Bold and Beautiful 8 x 8 pack, which I have used on the top left corner of the photo/post cards. I have made up all the 3D flowers from the laser cut sheets (both the laser cut sheet, and the ones from the 8 x 8 paper pack). All the leaves have also come from both these sheets too. I have painted white flowers with a pearlescent peach paint. Start with the big flower from the Wildflower pack adhered with foam tape, and layer a mix of laser cut flowers and mini flowers, as well as leaves.
I have also added "stamps" from the laser cut sheet added among the flowers. There is also some archival chipboard used from the Love pack - includes the tiny little dragonflies. The title is a Dusty Attic chippy. I have finished off by adding some beads and adding some chalk around the design to add dimension.

Here are some more close ups

Many thanks for stopping by, have a great week!

Picture Perfect - Dusty Attic

Hello Dusty Attic fans

Today I am up on the blog with a take on this month's cheerful and delightful January moodboard
Isn't this lovely? So bright and happy! I have done a layout with some photos of my daughter. Here is my take on the January moodboard
I have started with some stenciling on the background paper using the Dusty Attic Creative Script stencil . Using the smaller frame from the Floral Frame Set #2, and colouring this with the Creative Expressions Gilding polish, and adhered this to the page. I have used the wooden grain frames from the Frame Medley, and painting these with pale yellow paint.
I adhered these frames to the floral frame, before adding fussy cut flowers and mini leaves, and tucking in a mini clock painted with yellow paint.
I have painted the butterfly, and then bent the wings up slightly before adhering to the frame.
The title Picture Perfect is also painted with Creative Expressions Gilding polish.
I have then finished off the layout by brushing on some dry yellow pastels around the photos and flowers and over the stenciling.

Till next time,

Love Completely - Dusty Attic

Hello Dusty Attic fans

Happy New Year to you all - may you have a wonderful 2020!

Here is my first project for 2020
This is one of my favourite photos of my daughter and I. On this particular day when this photo was taken - we had done a mother-daughter photoshoot for a mother-daughter book that was being published and the proceeds went to charity. We then spent a lovely day shopping and having lunch together - a really lovely mother daughter day!

I started with the Ornate Frame and painted this with Dusty in Colour Pesto. I then cut this, so that I could wrap it around the edge of the photo. I have moved the left piece up and the right piece down and adhered this to the photo. I then added the photo on double mounted tape. The Broken Bits Numbers was first painted in white paint and I then finished it off using Creative Expressions Gilding Polish Blossom on these before tucking these under the photo.
I then added the flower cluster. The fern leaves were also painted in the Dusty Attic in Colour Pesto paint, before being added among the flowers. The Love Completely title was also first painted in whit and then covered with Gilding Polish.
I then added the title onto the flower cluster.
The "Smile" is from the Polaroid Frame Set #1, also painted in Dusty in Colour Pesto. I then cut the frame so that I had only the word left and adhered this to the top of the photo.

Thank you for visiting, have a lovely day!
