Dusty Attic January Mood Board - Relax

Hello Dusty Attic friends

I am so excited to present to you my first project on the Dusty Attic Design Team. A new year, and lots of new exciting projects for 2019 - I am so honoured to be part of this amazing team . Happy New Year to you all!  And oh boy the mood board for January is just amazing with my favourite colours to begin with, I am so in my happy place! Isn't this mood board just absolutely gorgeous?

And here is my take on the mood board:

The background paper to this layout is from 49 and Market Island Paradise Collection and the paper "Time to Coast" - I also used some of the laser cut images

I started with stencilling the background using texture paste and then adding some muslin cloth over this before adhering my photos and Dusty Attic pieces. The chipboard is coloured using Metallic Gilding polish in shades of Mint, Mediterranean Blue, Ocean Teal, and Pearl Lustre.

These are the chipboard pieces I used:
Note I turned this upside down when I used it on my page

Here I used the 2nd seaweed and after adding colour cut it in half and added to either side of my photo

I then added some Dusty in Bloom Blue Bonnet flowers, and finished off with Art stones. Once this was done I also then used some blue pastel and lightly brushed around the embellishments to give it the blue accent - I also brushed it on in the corners of my layout.

Thanks for stopping by and hope that I have inspired you to take part in the mood board challenge for this month.

White with ...1 - January 2019

Happy New Year to you all!! Wishing you a happy and prosperous 2019.

And of course with the 1st of the month, means a new challenge over at White with 1,  and what a glorious way to start off the new year with this very cheerful colour BUTTER CREAM

And to get the creative juices flowing, how about this gorgeous mood board to get you inspired:
Isn't this just so deliciously glorious? I was inspired by the flowers (and those who know me, know how much I love flowers.

Here is my take on the mood board and the colour for this month of January

First I cut down the white card stock, and added a butter cream card stock behind it. I then stenciled on the flowers by mixing a yellow ink and texture past to give the butter cream colour. I liked the frilly edges of the flowers in the mood board which then also inspired me to used the chipboard behind the flowers. I then finished off the layout by layering the flowers, and adding in strips of paper for the inspiration of the straw in the mood board.

I then added some twine behind the flowers and added the title.

Please pop over to the White with 1 blog and have a look at the creativity of the other DT members - they are gorgeous! Come and play along with us over at White ... with 1 :)

See you  soon!
