Let's Get Sketchy - 15 June 2017 Reveal

Well we are hitting mid-winter here in New Zealand and it was a very chilly start to the day this morning. I think winter days at work should be made shorter so it allows some extra time to stay warm indoors and of course, what a better way to use that free time and scrapbook .... wishful thinking, right?

It's reveal day over at Let's Get Sketchy and here is the sketch for the 15th of June:

And here is my take on the sketch:

This is a combination of Prima Papers and Tim Holtz stamps. I have created the back ground hexagonal shapes with stamps and black archival ink. The title is a chippie, which I have inked in black and finished off with Glossy accents. I have added a few ink blots to the kraft cardstock.

This photo is of my daughter and one of her lovely friends, and they have a lot of fun together - hence the "cherish" for those special moments.

Would love to see your creations up on the Let's Get Sketchy blog using the 15 June sketch!

Design Team Call for Colourful Creations

I have decided I might like to apply for the design team for Colourful Creations. I have a weekend of scrapping coming up next weekend and have a perfect opportunity to put a layout together before the closing date of 20th June :)

Have a look at these gorgeous colours as the criteria for the layout for the application:

Now these are just fabulous colours don't you think? Lovely bright and colourful .... they are just delicious!

Well now I will go and get my thinking cap on and see what I can come up with....

Have a good week all!

Let's Get Sketchy - 1 June 2017

And it's reveal day over at Let's Get Sketchy - 1 June! - I am a little late in presenting my reveal, as we have been moving house.

I loved this sketch with Let's Get Sketchy for 1 June

And here is my layout from the sketch
I have used a Theresa Collins range - I have really dug into my stash here - and so glad I have managed to use these papers. I will admit I have a few ranges that  have fallen in love with in the past and have bought to use for later, or for when the right moment comes along. Do you do that too?

I have used chippies for the corners and have used a grit textured paste for these and then inked these in orange to match these lovely papers. The same technique has been applied to the title "moments".

This layout features my lovely daughter :)

Thanks for looking in! I would love to see your creations over on the Let's Get Sketchy blog .... and you have the whole month to create something off the sketch. There is great inspiration from the design team too!

Have a super weekend everyone!

White ... with 1 - June Challenge

A new month means a new colour over at White ... with 1. And this month is one of my favourite colours .... Teal Sequins. I LOVE this colour :)

There is also a sketch (this is of course optional, so you dont have to use it)

I added a little twist to my layout on this sketch - I turned the sketch onto it's side and created my layout from here. And here is my take on the sketch with the Teal Sequins colour

I have used some teal ink to make splats on the background, and then some various papers to the background. I just love the title - this is a Dusty Attic chippie.

Thanks for popping over. I hope to see some of your creations on the White with 1 blog.

Will see you in July with another of my favourite colours ... till then ...
