15th of May - and this means a new sketch over on the Let's Get Sketchy blog! And here it is .......
Pop on over to the Let's Get Sketchy blog and check the amazing interpretations of the rest of the design team and the guest designer. I just love the ways one sketch can be interpreted - so much inspiration right there. Awesome!
Here is my take on the sketch:
This paper is from the Prima Collection - Wild and Free. I toned down the background with some gesso and then used a stencil and texture paste to add the textured background. along with stamping. The "lace" edges is a Scrapiniec chipboard which I inked. I then added flowers and the title.
The photo is of my daughter and two of her friends enjoying a night out. She's just not sure who photo bombed this photo!
Would love to see your interpretation of the sketch, so why not play along and add your layout to the blog by the end of the month 😏
From a very cold NZ,
Michelle

Let's Get Sketchy ... 1 May 2017
And hello again to another new month and the challenge for the 1st of May for Let's Get Sketchy .... time is certainly flying, isn't it? This was the topic over dinner last night and we were saying that already a third the year is gone - it's just crazy, right?!
Here is the sketch for the 1st of May .... and we were given a little twist to this challenge - we had to dig into our old stash and use that as part of our layout. So I dug around in my stash and came up with papers from the Prima collection "Time Traveller's Memories" - I bought the 12x12 paper pad ages ago and (gulp) with all the intention of using it "sometime" .... alas I have a few of these collections bought to use sometime. The tickets are from a Tim Holtz paper pad (think it's Ideology - I have lost the front cover of the paper pad, so have no idea 😜)
Here is the sketch for 1 May:
And here is my take on the sketch:
Featured here is my gorgeous son (these photo's were taken about 3 or 4 years ago). He hates having his photo taken, so I have very few photo's of him - I need to catch him unawares!).
I look forward to see your 1 May entries on the Let's Get Sketchy blog. Have a look at the amazing pages done by the rest of the design team too ....
See you soon for the 15th of May challenge reveal .....

White with 1 ______ May Challenge
HELLO GORGEOUS
Welcome to a new month - and of course, this means a new and exciting challenge over at White with 1! And this month the colour to accompany white is DEEP BLACK. I loved putting this challenge together as White and Black is so versatile and can be used with anything!
Here I have sprayed some black ink the background of my white cardstock, before adhering different white and black papers. I used a chipboard frame which I inked in black and added flowers to finish off. There is also some stamping randomly done on the page.
This layout is done of my daughter. This is a photo that she uses as her profile picture on her makeup page on FaceBook - I think it's such a cheeky but priceless photo!
And if you need a little more inspiration, why not use the mood board (this is of course optional):
Pop on over to the White with 1 blog and look at the beautiful pages created by the other members of the design team - they are just amazing.
Have a good May and I look forward to seeing the Black and White entries coming through .....
