Gorgeous with Dusty Attic

Hello Dusty Attic friends!

Featuring another layout for Dusty Attic and their amazing chipboard pieces. Today I am showcasing a layout I have done of my daughter who was doing a photo shoot for a friend as part of his photography course. Here he was trying to get the lighting right and she was playing the fool pulling funny faces while he was trying to get it right - the result is this amazing photo. I just love it!

I have used a mixture of Prima Georgia Blue paper and 49 and Market Paradise paper. I have stenciled the background using the Dusty Attic Ledger Stencil and some texture past and mixing it with a little gold paint, behind the matting papers. I have prepped that chipboard using gold paint on the Dusty Attic Iron Garnish #4 and the Dusty Attic Cosmic Swirl.
I then used a lighter gold metallic polish on the Dusty Attic Lavender #2 chipboard. I used these as part of my flower arrangement, where I cut these into small pieces and layered these between the flowers.

I then used blue metallic paint and painted the title #gorgeous from the Dusty Attic hashtags sayings #2 chipboard words

These are the Dusty Attic products I have used:

Thank you for popping over to look at the blog today. I hope that I have inspired you to create a layout with these amazing Dusty Attic chippies.

Lovely - Dusty Attic

Hello Dusty Attic fans

Welcome to a new month at Dusty Attic and another gorgeous  moodboard challenge for February - and these absolutely, gorgeous colours!
Aren't these colours just gorgeous???

And here is my take on the February Challenge:
The two papers are from 49 and Market - the base is from the Winters Edge Collection and the reverse side of the Frolic paper and the distressed page is from the Captured Adventures Collection using the Wander Aimlessly paper. I first placed my Dusty Attic chipboard pieces so that I could gauge where I wanted to add my stencilling. I used the Gabrielle Pollacco 6x6 manic stencil and texture paste for the backgound. I used a Tim Holtz Distress Stain antique linen and rubbed this over the stencilling, and then splattered some dark gray ink randomly over the page.
The Dusty Attic chipboard is painted with Dusty Attic paints (I have combined a blue and green to create the darker green colour) - and then lightly brushed over the chipboard with gold - to take on the mood of the "fire" in the moodboard. I have also randomly stamped on the page. I have used some journal cards and the tickets from from the Mintay Winterlust Collection #6 paper, and the compass from the elements paper.
The foliage #14 chipboard has been cut to add under the flowers. Once I assembled the page I then combined some Tim Holtz distress stain Weathered Wood and Bundled Sage and watered this down and using a paint brush dabbed some of this watered down in around the outline of the chipboard to pop the chipboard feature.

Pop over to the Dusty Attic blog and check out the inspiration from the rest of the team, and to take part in the monthly challenge.

Till next time and happy scrapping.

White .. with 1 February 2019

Hello there lovelies

Thanks for popping by to look at the White ... with 1 monthly challenge - and quite the appropriate colour for February - VIVID RED, with valentine's day around the corner.

And a sketch for the month

And this colour is just so vibrant and just pops on white. Here is my take on the February challenge

I so loved putting this page together. Here I have used the papers from the Mintay range "Farmlife". I used the no 2 paper for the back ground. The lamb and matting papers behind the photo are from the no 9 paper. I have cut the flowers and the ducks from the no 6 paper.

The chipboard fence is from Dusty Attic, which I have painted in red. I have then built up the flowers and the animals around the fence.
I have used chipboard leaves from 49 and Market 6 x 6 archival chipboard "remember today" and layered these between the fussy cut flowers.
I then added some art stones to the bottom of the page to resemble ground, and then finished off with dabbing red ink over the stones and around the photos and embellishments to add dimension.
I have used a die to cut out the shapes behind the photo and finished off with a chipboard heart painted in red.

I hope I have inspired you to take up the White with 1 challenge for February.

Thank you for popping over to visit.
