Memories Made - 49 and Market

Dear 49 and Market fans

Today I have had the honor of creating a layout with the new Color Swatch Toast collection. Here is the layout I have created

The base of the layout is the bonus page from the Color Swatch Toast - which is the reverse side of the cover page in the collection. I have used two envelopes from the envelopes-bits pack and put my photos in these before matting the photos and envelopes with several different sizes of frames from the frame set, and adhered this to the page with foam tape.
I then started with the flower cluster using Nature's Bounty Cream paper flowers, starting with two of the larger flowers in the bottom corner and building my cluster from there. I have used a framelit from envelop bits pack that has the words "memories made" between the flowers, plus I have also used various leaves and flowers from the laser cuts pack and then added Cream Florets paper flowers too.

I have added rubons all around the photos. I created a flower cluster at top left of the page, using laser cuts, and florets cream flowers. The title "Memories Made" comes from the 6 x 8 rubons.

Thank you for visiting the blog today.

Hugs
Michelle

Loved Forever - Dusty Attic

Hi there

I am featuring a layout today created with inspiration from the April moodboard

Such a pretty and vibrant moodboard - and it just oozes happiness. Here is the layout I created off the moodboard
I painted the Elegant Pearls (DA1336) and the foliage #16 (DA2235) with Prima Art Alchemy Metallique paint. I have cut the Elegant Pearl chipboard - cutting off the piece on the right and just using the hanging piece and placing it on the left as part of the piece. This piece was placed under the matted photo (which was adhered to the page with foam tape).
I have added some extra bling to the chippy. From there I built my flower clusters on either side of the photo.

I have randomly placed the foliage among the flowers. Some of the foliage I have cut up to fit with the clusters. The title is from the word pack  #33 (DA1448) - I have used two of the words out of the pack.

Why not take part in the monthly challenge and use the moodboard as inspiration and enter your take on the DustyFANattics Facebook page for your chance to win one of AUD50 worth of Dusty Attic chippy.

These are the chipboard pieces I have used on my project:

Picture Perfect - 49 and Market

Hello lovelies!

Oh my gosh aren't these new releases from 49 and Market just stunning - and I am loving these color swatch series. Today I have created a layout using the Color Swatch Blossom collection. Isn't this color just fabulous? (I actually want to say it's delicious!)

The base of my layout is the Color Swatch Blossom page 4 - the reverse side - from the Color Swatch Blossom 12 x 12 Collection paper pack. The next step was to create my photo matt - using different size frames from the Blossom Frame Set and adhering these under and over my photos to create the matt.
The X X X is stitching elements from the Blossom 6x8 rub-on transfer set - these are really cute! I adhered my matt to the page with foam tape in the centre, as I added rub-ons after I had stuck this down, using the page with all the splotches and wording from the rub-on pack. I cut these into pieces and arrange around my layout. I then began to create my flower cluster - using the two biggest flowers out of the Wildflowers Punch paper flower pack and building out my cluster with smaller flowers (also using Taffy Florets paper flowers), and elements from the Blossom laser cut elements sheet. A little tip - I don't always use the full element that comes off the sheet - I tend to cut these, or shape them to create my clusters. The little quote "wild spirit, soft heart, sweet soul" is also from the Blossom laser cut sheet. The circle with the heart is from the Vintage Artistry Tranquility Chipboard words pack.

The twine across the page is also from the laser cut sheet - and I have cut this to fit my page, using a extra "bow" on top of it's bow to create a double bow feature.
I then created a smaller cluster feature at the to of the page. I first added some splotch rub-ons and then cut the frame so that it was flash up to the edge of the page, I then added more rub-ons (words and stitching) over that frame before creating the flower cluster. I then added the title "Picture Perfect" from the Blossom 6x8 rub-on transfer sheet.

I finished off adding some of the rub-on butterflies to the page.

Thank you for visiting the blog today, and I hope that you enjoy creating with this beautiful range as much as I did.

Hugs,
Michelle

Perfect - Dusty Attic

Hello Dusty FANattics

And just like that a quarter of the year has gone - and we just had a wee reminder from Mother Nature that winter is approaching - it sure has been quite chilly here in New Zealand.

Here is my project for April

All chipboard pieces were first prepped with white gesso. Once the gesso was dry, I started with the frames first by spraying them lightly with water. I used a posco pen to colour these frames - they react with water like acrylic paints - and I dabbed dots of colour and let the colour "bleed" into the water droplets. The infinity piece (flourish with the heart) DA3248 and the two monarch butterflies DA2385 were coloured with a combination of 2 coloured Posco pens as a solod colour.

I stacked the frames and adhered these to the page with foam tape. The gesso'd leaves DA1870 were also coloured with a green Posco pen. Once this was dry, I then dribbled glimmer mist spray over the leaves. Once these were dry, I then adhered them around and under the frames before layering the fussy cut flowers and leaves.
I created a cluster for the title DA2575 "Perfect" - also using chippy leaves and layering fussy cut pieces. The title was painted with Art Alchemy Metallique paint.
These are the products
