Picture Perfect - 49 and Market

Hello lovelies

Oh my wow - I am so in love with the rich vibrant colours of the ARToptions Alena collection. I so loved putting this layout together with this beautiful new collection.

The base of the layout is the paper called Dramatic from the 12 x 12 ARToptions Alena paper collection. The frames around the photo are from the laser cut sheets. I adhered the photo to the red frame first and then added the dark green frame on top of the photo off side. Then I added two chipboard tags from the chipboard set behind the frame at the top centre. This was then adhered to the page with foam tape to the left side of the circle.
I then added a piece of "lace" from the laser cut sheet under the photo and on top of the frame, as well as the "twine". I then started adding laser cut flowers and leaves, plus the stamps in layers around the photo.
I have added in some flowers (new release) - Salsa Florets - perfect match for this collection.
I have added some chipboard elements like wording and the chipboard heart to the layout, including the title "picture perfect". I have also added the laser cut buttons and butterflies to the flowers and leaves.
I have added some rubon leaves around the flower cluster. I also added some rubons down the side amd a flower rubon to the top of the page, where I added a chipboard tag (which I sanded on the edges) and added a chipboard word "find the joy"
Thank you for visiting the blog today.

Take care,
Michelle

Wander & wonder more - Dusty Attic September moodboard

Hello lovelies

Oh my - the moodboard for this month is just beautiful!

I love this moodboard - you can take part in the Dusty Attic moodboard challenge by using the moodboard as inspiration and Dusty Attic chipboard and add your entry to the DustyFANattics facebook page for your chance to win one of $50 credit of Dusty Attic chipboard.
Here is my take on the moodboard:
The chipboard (except the chicken wire) was all covered in black gesso and then various shades of purple waxes added to the pieces. I have gone for a darker shade on the bigger foliage (DA3347 - I used two of these) and lighter shades on the mini foliage (DA2440).
The chicken wire (DA0457) was painted with metallic paint.
I cut the chicken wire into two pieces and layered these at the top and bottom corners of the photo. I then layered my flowers around the photo.
I added foliage among the flowers and under the flowers, as well as the wagon wheels (DA2803)
I made another small cluster to the right of the photo, also adding chipboard foliage, and the little songbird (DA3301). I finished off adding beads to the layout.

Moments - 49 and Market

Greetings 49 and Market fans

I just can't resist the mushrooms in the the Curators Meadow collection, so I had to create another layout just so I could get using some more mushrooms!

The base of the layout is created using the Curators Meadow Wings and Things out of the collection pack. The cover of the Curators Meadow solids pack have 6 different solid 4 x 6 colours which I have cut out and used three of these - distressed and layered behind the photo before adding this to the layout with foam, tucking in frames from the laser cuts and the ephemera.
The window frame is from the laser cut sheet.
I have used mushrooms from the lasercut sheet, and I have also fussy cut mushrooms and leaves from the inside cover of the Collection pack, which have been layered across the bottom of the photo.

I have also added in some of the stamps among the mushrooms and some leaves - all from the lasercut sheet. How about that cute cage and heart shaped twig arrangement from the lasercut sheet? I just had to use them on the layout.
Once I had finished here, I added rubons from the 6 x 8 rubons sheets. About 2/3 of the word sheet was used on either side of the photo - cut in half to add under each side. Bits of script were cut to out to add to the layout. Then I added the coffee stains and splatters.
I have added the birds from the 12x12 rubons pack, and then the words from the 6x8 pack/ The title plate is from the laser sheet. The title "moment" is off the salvage strip off the bottom of the paper. And I just had to add the bird and the squirrel to the finish as well as the butterfly off the last cut sheets - just love all the little animals in this collection too.

Thanks for visiting the blog today.

Hugs,
Michelle

Best Time = 49 and Market

Hi there lovelies

I am back on the blog today, and have created another layout with Spectrum Sherbert

The paper I have used for the base of my layout is the Spectrum Sherbert Cotton Candy from the Classics paper collection. I have then added a frame from the Spectrum Sherbert Tidal Wave frame set and then added ephemera behind the photo and frame.

I added the photo and frame to the page with foam tape. I layered Tidal Wave laser cut flowers and leaves to the two corners of the photos. I have pulled some of the leaves apart so I could use them spread throughout the cluster. I have then added chipboard hearts from the Spectrum Sherbert chipboard word set. I have also die cut some die cut pieces using the pink side of the Spectrum Sherbert painted foundations prism paper.

The title "best time" is out of the chipboard words pack.
I have added rubons off the Tidal Wave 12x12 rubons - cutting these up and layering these to the layout on the edges
Flower rubons have also been added under the laser cut flowers and leaves.

Thanks for popping over to visit the blog today.

Hugs,
Michelle

100% Boy - Dusty Attic

 Hello lovelies

I am so in love with the new industrial pieces that Dusty Attic have recently released, and of course, one of my favourite embellishments to do male pages with are gears, so these new pieces were right up my alley!

I have used an older Stamperia range of papers to create my layout. Which I have torn and distressed before putting them together. I then added some stenciling on the background with an oxide ink using the glass stain stencil DA1498. The photo was adhered with foam tape in the middle so I was able to tuck the gears under the photo.

The chipboard pieces I have used are DA3360 - Industrial corner; DA3363 - Industrial jumbo gears; DA3380 - Industrial cluster #8. I have used DA2696 - Impact ABC set and DA 2878 to create the title.
All chipboard pieces were first coated in black gesso. When these had dried I added Prima Alchemy waxes to colour these.

Once the photo had been adhered, I added the industrial corners to the top left and bottom right corner just under the photo, and then placed the Industrial cluster at the top of the photo on top of that corner piece.

I then layered the nuts and bolts, and the gears off the industrial cluster and the jumbo gears on top of all the pieces and down the sides to create my layers

The number in the title has been created using the capital "i" and the capital "o" and the % was created using one of the mini tools and the screw heads from the industrial cluster piece.
These are the Dusty Attic products I have used:

Take care,
Michelle
